I feel the exact same way!!! I am 6/19/21 in Philly and we already are postponing til summer 2022 for the same reasons like you said. Why spend so much money when people might not feel comfortable coming and if they do come they have to wear a mask? No thank you!! Plus I don't want to look back on all of my wedding pictures and see people with masks on! 2022 seems like the best option- plus Philly is a mess!!

Yes definitely! I want a safe wedding with no masks in 2022! We keep going back and forth on doing something small or not. IF we do anything, it will be just signing the paperwork to legally get married. But, I hold on to the "It's supposed to just be one day" mindset and it would only be a year away so waiting would not be the worst part. Ugh it is just messing everything up! We definitely want to have a "one year until our wedding" party with our bridal party so they can meet each other! Are you doing something small this year?

I am! Until my venue tells me we can’t. That’s the only way we would be able to avoid paying a second facility fee. It’s super stressful but I added a disclaimer to the invites we are sending out this week!

I’m in a wedding in February and they’re still having 150 people and masks are optional not mandatory. Apparently the venue holds 1,500 people... 🤦🏽‍♀️🙃

I'm April 18th and my sister is June 5th. All outdoors ceremony and reception. We are moving forward with plans unless the state says we can't. Setting up different computers for virtual ceremony and reception in case some people don't feel comfortable coming. I think everyone coming getting tested the week of is good idea. They now have at home rapid tests I'm going to put it on my wedding website to encourage my attendees to get before they come. I ordered some through emed.com $25 a test. My friend had a covid wedding in September and it went on without a hitch so I'm hoping mine can be the same. Masks suck but atleast you can still talk through them and dance with them on. I mean.... I exercise with them on and really you just get used it. I'm still taking pictures with the immediate party masks off and everyone in the bridal party will be rapid tested.

No, I haven’t heard from them recently. They are supposed to contact me on February 1st because that’s when I am going to decide to cancel or not. Masks would be the least of my worries right now if I could still have my wedding there Smiley sad we already postponed from November. Right now you’re only allowed to have 25 people at Terrain and I’m not sure when that is going to change

Thanks Jessica. I did not know that! I thought venues were still doing small weddings. Appreciate the info.

No worries! It all gets so confusing. I feel like it’s so difficult for brides to even plan if their wedding is in the city. Really takes the excitement out of it. Our venue hasn’t opened since the shut down in March. I’ve heard some with outdoor options were operating over the summer, but haven’t heard of anything indoors.

It’s so weird because the state of PA website says 10 guests for indoor and 50 for outdoor, max. But the philly.gov is saying weddings prohibited. I know: I feel like if I get excited my hopes will be up and I’m trying not too. It’s really sad, honestly. We don’t plan on rescheduling a reception if we are told we can’t do it. I know so many people who have rescheduled not once but twice. It’s terrible. Good luck!

Wait the whole state of PA? I thought the suburbs outside of Philly we’re aloud to have 150? We are planning for the 3rd time it’s horrible!

This is specifically what it says on the official PA website. That’s why I thought people were still doing weddings but just really small outdoor ones. It’s so confusing bc this is the state site and the Philly site is totally different. This was updated Jan 4, 2021.

And then I just found this , there’s so much info that is different on the state website it is contradicting. So that’s why I’m so confused 😑 but I think we all just have to listen to our venues at this point 😕Spring 2021 Philadelphia Brides Covid 3
