Anyone planning to get married in Philadelphia Spring 2021? We rescheduled from 2020 to 2021 and so scared it won’t happen!

I am the mom of a June bride and have a full list of venues to consider given Philadelphia and PA restrictions. Philadelphia is now 250 outside which is awesome. Trick is where can you go outside for that number. Penn Museum. It’s like where’s Waldo. Feel free to list your guest list number and I’ll point you to a start point. 25% indoor Philadelphia is just for business meetings. Question is isn’t that just dinner without dancing?

Right? It is so confusing all the different criteria. We picked a new venue closer to our original location and we JUST signed the contract, but besides that I think most Philly venues are out of our budget anyways haha our Coordinator worked out a great price for Ridgeland Mansion, I was sad to let it go but I just didn't want to deal with restrictions shifting again and affecting our guest count. We expect 80 guests to attend, though we originally invited 130. I read somewhere that do the covet you can expect a 50 to 70% response rate whereas normally you would expect a bit more than that

I have contacted at least 40 venues from January through last week. We can't seem to let go of our indoor venue, but this week we did and signed for an outdoor venue.

What is crazy is how one venue to another, and this is Jersey, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and Delaware, can interpret what the are allowed to do or what they have chosen to let you do.

In addition to this the mail has been so slow that you don't even know if an invite will get to the guest in time to invite someone else. We could do paperless post, etc. but my daughter is set on hard copy...old school with a risk.

I'm with you, waiting an entire year isn't worth it to me! At this point a big part of me just wants to get this done with so I can start my life with my fiance. I totally understand those who have rescheduled, but it seemed nigh impossible to get all of our vendors on a good date that worked for everyone without going a year or more out.

Has anyone find a good livestreaming company? We were going to tackle ourselves but decided this would be less stress to outsource. I found someone on Thumbtack who can do the ceremony for $500, and I think that's a good option for people wanting to stay home due to COVID

Yes! We postponed from 10/20 to 10/21 but I don't see it happening. I want to just ask for my deposits back at this point but I'm also terrified to hear no.
