Spring Wedding Colors??

Elizabeth, on June 19, 2018 at 9:57 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9

We are getting married April 2020. Two years away but I already want to start getting an idea of colors. We are getting married in the spring time so I thought I would want to pick out spring colors however I can't seem to find any spring colors that aren't pastel or pink. My FH wants to do crimson red or royal blue with another combination of colors. Any suggestions? Should I stick with colors that match the season? My thought was crimson red and gold but i'm not sure I'm 100% sold on the idea yet.

Don’t stick with the season. Go with the colors that make you and FH happy. At the end of the day it’s you and FH wedding. Crimson red and gold go beautiful together!

You would be surprised what will be trending by then, might be good to use color swatches from the local hardware store? That way you can get an idea

Hey, Elizabeth! Welcome to WeddingWire and congrats! No harm in thinking ahead- that's one more thing you can deal with in advance and not have to worry about it later! Luckily, the weather will inform your guests of the season so pick colors you and your FH like!

Here are a couple of combinations that I found that don't look overtly fall/wintry:

I initially wanted to do red as well but found it was hard to always find the right shade of red, so i switched to pastel colors that match my flowers. (My biggest theme is eucalyptus) I know you said you didn’t want pink, I didn’t either but I’m using a soft pink as an accent color to give a small pop of color.

Someone suggested color pallets from the hardware store and that’s what I did to see if I really liked those colors together!

It helps to start early! I'm getting married April next year and we wanted plum.... So I decided to add shades of gray (50 to be exact...jk🤣) and light Coral to bring it together. It's whatever you want! I don't think you have to stick to the season. Here's an example of my colors and maybe something you can do with royal blue.

I would suggest not to worry about what colors go with the season. Just be you and pick the colors that you and your FH would like.
