My FH and I decided on St. Lucia for our honeymoon. Our budget is **** for an all inclusive. Hoping this doable. So far it looks like Sandals gives you more bang for your buck with all the food, activities that or included in the price and being able to go to 3 resorts. I was also looking online and found Body holiday resort and sugar beach. So what's important to us is the food and have options for 1 week, activities (boat day, go to the waterfalls, ziplining and a couples massage). We don't need the butler service and the room doesn't have to be glorious since we will be out exploring or relaxing by the beach /pool most of the time. Any suggestions/tips based on our preferences ? Feedback is welcomed and appreciated. Thank you in advance

@ Camille as far as the restaurants serenity side has only one but menu is phenomenal. I have to say i had the best filet mignon there ( I live in ny and have been to many steakhouses ) no extra charge champagne or wines . We met the chef the first night there and he said if we wanted something special not on menu just ask and he can make it for us . It was like being at the restaurant at the plaza in ny . You have the choice to go to the 7 restaurants on the coconut bay side but you don't need to . Food is much better at serenity .

Included in the all inclusive is :

Access to all of coconut bay resort

Kitesurfing, kayaking, all 7 restaurants at coconut bay plus use of all there pools

Unlimited drinks and food from both ends

Private taxi to and from airport not a van with the people staying at the coconut bay side or anyone else . Checkout anhour before departure no matter what time your flight leaves . Only thing not included was excursions . The only excursions we did was a catamaran excursion that went snorkeling and took you to the hot springs . It was fun . I would pass on the hot spring part but catamaran was awsome . We then did horseback riding which was at the resort itself which was convenient cause it was on the property .

@finebyme we are really between royalton and Sandals - Grande Lucia right now... the rooms at royalton are gorgeous and you still get ocean view way cheaper than sandals but I think the deal break would be amenities at sandals... if sandals really included all motorized and non motorized water sports that's a great deal! If that wasn't the case then I would rather go with royalton if I was just comparing rooms. For those that have gone to sandals are the water sports really all included without extra charge ? If so I guess I have sacrificed a beautiful ocean view room for a standard one at sandals.... we really wanna book soon before they sell out. @OG Slothhh and @ firstoneat56 can you please confirm. Thank you all for all

    The advice.

All non-motorized water sports are included at Sandals... snorkeling equipment, kayaks, etc, etc.

We stayed at Sandals La Toc back in 2015 and LOVED it. Loved the fact that we could bounce around the different properties, too.

We actually took the time to get me through the scuba class as well, and I became certified to dive to 40 feet. We dove twice while there- once at La Toc, and once at Grande. It was amazing.

And I recommend Son of Man tours- they cap their boats at 10 people, so it's a really small group that goes out- and it is soooo much fun. Might be a smidge more than Joe Knows, but to me, it was worth it.

    Have fun!

Here's what it says on the website... does that include if you are only getting a basic room though?

Eek I shouldn't have come in here. We are doing St. Lucia too but wow, you guys are getting some amazing package deals! Good to know if we ever plan on going back.

Btw - the one that is close to the airport -that is definitely a bonus from what I have heard. The downside of the place we booked is that long drive (though they do have a helicopter option!).

Non-motorized water sports were included at Royalton (paddleboards, kayaks, snorkeling gear and various other things) we were also able to rent jet skis for $50 per half and hour for two jet skis which we did once. We went on a tour with people who stayed at Sandals and they told us that the water sports were frequently closed bc of rough waters. I know for us the price differential was huge between the sandals grande and Royalton so that allowed us more money for tours etc. which was important to us. Also I get very car sick and the drive was fine. It provided a great way to get a tour of the island from the locals upon arrival in my opinion.

@finebyme did they have any day and or night entertainment at the royalton ? Also how was the food again ? I'm really torn about deciding between sandals and royalton because you do have a point def gives more money for tours.... is there anything else I should know about royalton ? Also anything else I should know about sandals -Grande to help me just make a decision? I think the rough waters was with La Toc not Grande but I'm not sure

Also, I've been talking to a Sandals travel agent from Loveshack and another from CTA travel and having a hard time with that was well and not knowing what's a better deal. So if anyone has gone though any of these travel agencies any feedback will be appreciated. Thank you

They had a lot of day entertainment like drinking games, trivia, hikes to pigeon island etc. Each night at like 9-11 they had a show or party of somesort however at 11pm it is dead. However this was great for us as it gave us some alone time and also with it only being daylight from 6am to 6pm we easily went to bed before midnight and woke up by 7 or 8 each day. This allowed us to make the most of the trip even though we are both usually night owls. The food was great especially Dorado in the hideaway section which had the greatest breakfasts and dinners. The other restaurants were good but that one was by far the best in my opinion .
