stamps for invites has anyone used zazzle.com?

SunSand, on December 5, 2009 at 3:08 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

Has any of you addressed their invites with the stamps from zazzle?

are they really that big? are they worth the extra price? is it better to use post office ones even though they don't have that many to choose from?

thanks!

    Hi Sunsand!

I have never used Zazzle, but Stamps.com is a great create your own stamp site. The stamps from there are normally 2-3 times bigger than a normal stamp, but all of the guests who have recieved invites with create-your-own stamps LOVE the personalization! Because of the expense, they do work better for a smaller guest list (50-150 pp) esp. if you are on a tight budget. Let us know what you do! Happy planning.

I used Zazzle for my wedding and it was awful. First my sister ordered stamps with a picture of my hubby and I to put on the envelopes for the bridal shower she was throwing. They picture came out alright but the writing, you couldn't even see it! Then my hubby and I ordered stamps for our actual wedding invitations and we did 2 day shipping (way over priced, btw) and a week went by and we didn't receive them. So we called them and they said to wait it out and we waited another week and still no stamps, called them again just to get a refund since it was getting later and later and we needed to mail out our invites and they said they couldn't give us a refund because it hasn't been 90 days or some crap. They just wanted us to wait and wait for them when they knew they weren't going to come!

Finally I called again and told them that they are in San Diego and I'm in LA and I know a package does not take that long to get from SD to LA! Then they said that they cannot give me a refund until I receive the stamps and mail them back to them. And I said "Well it's pretty clear that we're not going to get them so you might as well give me my money back now." After arguing with the guy for about a half hour, he said "I'm so sorry, this usually doesn't happen...but I will give you your refund and hope that you'll use us again!" YEAH, RIGHT! LOL. BTW...we never did receive those stamps. So who knows if they were just lost or if they never actually sent them.

I have a completely different experience from janey. I used zazzle and picked out the tiffany blue and brown paisley decoration, they were beautiful and the perfect size. I also did the stamps for our rsvp envelopes. They came in about three days since i did ground shipping, everything i expected and more

I've seen those but with 200 guests I can't see eating the added expense. usps has enough variety for me.

We used zazzle.com for our personalzed stamps and they came out great. I dont have any complaints and was satisfied with the results. They do have automatic proofing of your stamps as you create it so you can play with the fonts and coloring of the letters. While its not a "must have" I admit everyone was asking about those stamps and commenting on how cute they were...and different. I didnt find them to be that much more expensive than any other photo stamps. Also if you sign up on the zazzle email list they send you coupon codes for discounts.

FYI..I am on email list for zazzle.com and they are having the days of christmas and each day they are offering a discount. Today's discount was 30% off of your order and free shipping with the special code. They will have a new special each day until Christmas. If you are interested let me know and I dont mind sharing the coupon code with you.

    Bride to be, thanks.

I actually ordered from stamps.com because they had the exact denomination I needed for the invites.
