So I read that you should include a stamp with your rsvp’s. So I read that you should include a stamp with your rsvp’s. I hadn’t thought of that so I was going to include them when i send out my invitations but my fiancé says i shouldn’t have to becuase who doesn’t have stamps laying around at home. I just feel rude not sending them and expecting everyone to send it back but then again my fiancé isn’t the most thoughtful person LOL! Have you sent stamps along with your rsvp’s?

* i didn’t do online rsvp becuase both of our families are not tech savvy at all and plus grandmas and aunts like to keep invitations for memory so we figured this was best.

Provide a stamp. There is no post office within 20 minutes of me and I'm sure as hell not going to the grocery store to spend $10.00 on a book of stamps because the hosts was too cheap to put a stamp on the RSVP they are requiring I send back. Before the wedding, I never had stamps laying around.

Yes, you need to put a stamp on them. I never have stamps just laying around.

I don’t know a single person with a stamp anywhere in their house outside of maybe my grandmother.

Sounds like your FH is trying to get away with spending less money on the invitations. If you're having your guests send their RSVPs back via USPS, then you need to provide a stamp. Not everyone just has them laying around. And, to your benefit, providing a stamp will help ensure more guests send back the RSVP in a more timely fashion because all they have to do is fill it out and drop it in the mail.

I think you are right in regards to saving money with postage. That is kinda funny as postage is usually more than people expect but compared to dinner, drinking and dancing? That is the smallest expense!!

Include stamps. We also avoided the online rsvp for elderly guests.

It doesn’t matter if they are family, friends or if you know they are coming. Stamp every RSVP envelope.

Absolutely put a stamp on your RSVP cards. Your fiance is wrong.

Definitely put the stamp on the RSVP envelope and I agree with pre-addressing it too. It'll make things so much simpler for your guests since all they have to do is fill out the RSVP card, stick it in the pre-addressed and stamped envelope, then mail it.

But am I the only odd ball who has stamps in the house? We bought a roll of permanent stamps from Costco for thank you cards (first for the showers people hosted for us then the wedding). We used up quite a bit of the roll for those alone.

Stamp them and put your return address on them. It will make it easier for all of your guests to return them back to you.

Putting a stamp and pre-addressing the RSVP cards is definitely expected. Not only is it polite and expected to do this, but doing this will make it even easier for your guests to send them back to you. They won't have to go to the trouble of finding/buying a stamp or addressing the envelope (or figuring out who to send their RSVP to). The easier you make it for your guests, the higher your chances are of actually getting those RSVPs back on time or at all.

I usually do have some stamps lying around, but I want to use them for my own mail, not waste them on something that should have been sent to me with prepaid postage.

Yes, if you do RSVP cards, you put stamps on them.

All that said, for my daughter's weddings, we are trying RSVP only online at their wedding website. Everyone who was invited is tech-savvy, including all the grandparents.

I didn't know that people don't have stamps around their house these days.

If you do RSVP's you should consider including postage. I chose online to save money. If people don't RSVP, I know them well enough to call or text to recivve the RSVP.

I definitely included stamps. I actually included stamped envelopes with our return address so guests just put the rsvp card in and mailed it.

The only RSVP cards I am sending without stamps are those going overseas because the stamp wouldn't be any good (I'm including a note that they can email their response). So, to add to the choir, stamp and address your envelopes.
