Good morning!

I'm shopping for my bouquet right now and am wondering if there's a standard size for brides? I'm going with silk flowers because what I want will not be in season and I'm finding that most websites describe the size in diameter - looking at my ruler simply isn't cutting it, so I want to know the size of your bouquets! Just to clarify, I'm going for something with roses, peonies and ranunculus. I've attached a picture of my dress if that helps, there's a belt that goes with it. Please help Smiley smile

Mine's only 8 inches, b/c it's a brooch bouquet. So my girls' bouquet's will be smaller than that, almost nosegay size.

Your small so you don't want anything larger then your hips and nothing too long because the bottom of your dress pops... but also you don't want to "out do" your bouquet bc you want your main focus on your dress and you

I think a simple small hand bouquet {clutch style} would be best but then again your the bride so whatever you want

OK so as far as the size it is your preferece BUT word to wise Ranunculus and Peonies are HUGE flowers so remember that in sizing your bouquet =] Probably around 12 inches round would be good for your bouquet. Remember that you will want to keep it so get a "nosegay" throwaway so that you can keep the ones you chose to carry for your wedding =] OH and yours should be larger then the girls bouquet by two inches=]

Something else to consider: your bouquet should be proportional to you. I love trailing bouquets, but I am very small (5'0") and it would look huge for me.

Depends on the size of the bride. Why not real flowers all those are available. Peonies from Alaska, roses all year, ranunculus from south america's spring. Check another florist or go with local flowers so much cooler Smiley smile than silk ugh.

I think you have to figure out what you're comfortable with. Perhaps go to the grocery store and buy and inexpensive bouquet or two - then arrange them in front of your stomach (in a rather fitted shirt since your dress is fitted) and see how big you want the bouquet to be. (Then measure it across!) Personally, I didn't want anything too big, but what you want is really up to you. Smiley smile

Alexis -- on Etsy you can communicate with people who do faux flower bouquets and order a sample to get an idea as to the size (and quality)
