Star Wars/Harry Potter Wedding Ideas

What about cuff links? I'm doing "nerdy" cuff links for the groom since we're not tying anything else in with the wedding.

I'm thinking this 3 Broomsticks sign for our bar and then lego stormtroopers for place card holders/favors.

My Fiancee and I are big Star Wars nerds and pinterest has a lot of good idea. Here are a couple that I really liked.

You could totally get your BP star wars/ HP tee shirts!!

You get light saber pens and use the handles to hold your FH and groomsmen's bouts and add some HP-related charms to your bouquets.

You could also have a star wars and an HP themed signature cocktails.

Fh and I went with a space/galaxy theme and decided to put some subtle star wars and even ASoIaF (GoT) references in as well! (Mostly moon of my life and my sun and stars with Daenerys and Khal Drogo). It so kind of flows together. But for stars wars specially we have a cake topper and I will be having my bouquet have darth Vader' saber as the handle.

I had bouquets made from the pages of books. We had an etsy seller make them. You could easily do HP! Hold on, I'll find a picture.

Have you thought about opening your thread up to vendors? They go to a lot more weddings than we do in a year and have possibly seen some wonderful ideas that you're missing out on by excluding them.

We are incorporating Star Wars, Harry Potter and batman in ours! It'll be on the cake and we will have props of all three for our photo booth

Love your ideas! I always enjoyed seeing the 501st Legion at conventions and events so I can imagine how exciting that will be.

We're doing a subtle HP feel. Our ring box, cake (will just have Always on it), glasses and a welcome sign with all have "after all this time.... Always".

We are doing harry potter. I've been making paper flowers out of book pages for months!!!! It's been a fun journey yet soooooooo much work lol.

I love Harry Potter. I don't have a theme to my wedding but I threw a hint in there with our toasting glasses. Got them etsy.

I'm so jealous! I'm trying to do just hints of HP so it isn't really a theme, more of a undertone.

I want to do chair signs that say "after all this time" and "always". And I've already hinted to my BMs about a HP themed Bridal shower ha! Unfortunately my venue doesn't allow open flames which kills some of the ideas I had.

For HP you could totally do the floating candles form HP Gives a romantic feel and is a HP reference

Our wedding is vintage with a Star Wars twist. Like what if Star Tours was Pan Am at their height in the 40s and 50s. We have been to plenty of nerd weddings with blended fandoms.

That being said, I would put elements of both fandoms in the STDs and Invites. Doing SW STDs and then HP invites, people will get confused as to the theme. Also, remember, less is more. Little fun elements are great - lots of in your face stuff makes it more like a bday party then a wedding.

We can't have any open flames, forgot to mention that! I loved GreeneBunny's wedding photos. I wanted to possibly do the wands as favors, but I think the little lego stormtroopers would be good, too. I don't know how we could do the wands affordably. We are inviting 118 guests. I'm expecting maybe 90?
