State Park Elopement

My fiancé and I are doing an elopement style wedding with about 10 guest total. We are looking to get married at High Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale FL but we were told it would be $2,000 for a quick 15 minute ceremony. I about fell over!!!
First why such the high price?
Anyone else ever run into this issue? HELP?!?! I have been getting extremely frustrated.
