Step-father/ daughter dance song suggestions

What a beautiful song, Alyssa! I don't think it's cheesy at all. I think it's the perfect song to honor them both. Another suggestion, and one of my favorite songs ever, is "You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins. I think it would also be a very fitting and beautiful song

That is a nice song! My dad and I will be dancing to Rod Stewart's version of "Forever Young" because it sounds like a father passing down wisdom to his child.

Aw, I think that song is beautiful! And very sentimental. I had some trouble with this one, myself, since I am dancing with my real father (who is now married to my real mother) but I didn't meet him until I was almost 12. It's a bit of a wierd relationship because I love my dad very much, but it also seems disingenuous to play a song that talks about seeing the child as a baby, growing up, playing, etc because I don't really have those memories. Here's a few that got tossed around; they were the ones I felt best spoke about parental love from any angles:

I really like the Phil Collins song "You'll be in my heart" too! I think that one is so sweet, and sounds like it may fit your situation well.

I, myself, am leaning towards the Trace Adkins song since my dad is a big country fan, and that one fits our story pretty well. Congrats to you, and best of luck with planning! I sure both your fathers will be honored and elated for you on your special day!

There's no such thing as too cheesy when it comes to first dance songs, father daughter songs, etc. If you like that song go for it!

I've always loved the song "Endless Love" by Lionel Ritchie but was afraid it would be too cheesy for my first dance with my husband and almost didn't choose it but I'm so glad I did.

The guests even loved it too! They'll love the song you chose for your dads.
