Plank, Push-Ups, Squats. Plank, Push-Ups, and Squats. Oh...and did I mention Plank, push-ups, and squats. LOL. I've lost two inches in my middle from doing those three moves. Also running helps with body fat and cardio. The best time to do a workout is in the morning because all you're burning is body fat. You can do it, girl!

    Spanx.

    j/k.

I plan on doing pilates and yoga. Pilates is excellent. Did it for two days and started seeing definition. I think it also depends on how much fat you want to get rid of.

Look into Chaleene Johnson's (I think that's her name) Turbo Fire. It's high intensity interval training. You do some workout stuff then do a drill to boost your heart rate. I could swear by this. I haven't been able to do it because I have a torn meniscus in my right knee. You don't have to keep up and can go at your own speed.

Oh and if you have an HRM (heart rate monitor) it'll give you more motivation. Mine tells me how many calories I've burned, my heart rate, etc. Get one with a chest strap. It's most accurate.

O wow! that sounds pretty cool, I need to get one!

I used to go to the gym and loved the HRM on the tredmills, etc. bc they told you all that info too.

I'll def look up that turbo fire on youtube too.

    Thanks!

    NO SUGAR.

Seriously, that belly fat (and fat everywhere) comes from eating processed, sugary, crap. You can do a bajillion sit ups and you won't see the results you want. Eating clean/right is key.

Abs/flat stomachs are made in the kitchen, seriously.

All great suggestions, but you can't reduce any particular spot on your body. Human body just doesn't work that way. So yeah, amp up your workout and cut processed sugar and excess sodium, and it will help you cut body fat overall. But unfortunately, there isn't a way to specifically reduce one body part.

Les Mills group fitness classes.. Used to teach them in college, can't find the time to dedicate teaching them now... Check out BodyAttack or BodyCombat for your cardio, CXWORX for your core, and BodyPump for your muscles/toning... you should be able to find a class near you on www.lesmills.com

I lost 40 lbs last year. Here are a few key factors that worked for me:

1 - My Fitness Pal App: If you have a smart phone, down load this app. Until this app I had no idea how many calories I was eating, water I was drinking, exercise I was doing, no progress map. http://www.myfitnesspal.com. This app literally transformed me.

2 - Wii: My fiance bought it for me along with Biggest Loser & Cardio Fitness. I have not had the discipline to go to a gym. My Wii solved this problem! I don't have to get dressed up to go workout! I turn it on, select my profile, and workout. Of course it keeps track of all my workouts and keeps me on a steady program instead of randomly going from machine to machine at a gym.

3 - Low Glycemic Diet: This without doubt is the gut burner :-) Don't let the word 'diet' stop you. Weight Watchers, Food Lovers Plan, Nutrisystem, all use this easy way of eating. However, you can DIY! http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/glycemic-index-diet

    You can do it!

I had my son 4 years ago and unfortunately was in a really bad head-space after he was born and went from being 125 before I was pregnant to 213 only two years later! I'm now down to 152 after six months of hardcore work and I plan on being 130 before Christmas when I go wedding dress shopping for my wedding in July of 2014.

How I did it: 8oz of water per every 10lbs I weighed (flush all the excess sodium out of my body); go to bed an hour earlier (let me tell you how long it took until I was actually sleeping, not just staring at the ceiling), wake up 40min earlier, go for a 30 min run before work; bring bite size pieces of celery, salt-free peanut butter, and dried cranberries to work, eating one piece every 20 min so my body was constantly digesting and I wasn't hungry for big meals; hit the Planet Fitness Circuit 4x a week; and do some meditative yoga before bed.

It sounds like a lot, but after two weeks on my new schedule, it was easy! And for me, 61lbs in 6mo was worth it!
