Storing (Lindor Truffles)

Courtney, on June 30, 2014 at 4:09 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

I ordered a bulk box of Lindor Milk Chocolate Truffles for my candy bar. they will be arriving tomorrow and I'm not sure how to store them over the next 2.5 months. I had to order this weekend in order to utilize a discount I had.

Has any one else stores Lindor Truffles for a couple months?

Should these be refrigerated or will they be ok just packed away in the closet with the rest of candy I ordered?

Keep them in a cool, dry place. If you refrigerate, they'll get turn white on the surface-- doesn't hurt them, but doesn't really look nice, either.

Don't refrigerate--as long as they don't get hot enough to melt you should be okay.

My M&Ms are in a cool dark place. They should be fine.

Wait, it's to hot in Florida. Ship them to me. Yum!

A cool, dry place is best. Putting them in the refrigerator will indeed turn the whitish. Do you have a cabinet in the kitchen they can stay at the back of? A basement keeps a pretty steady temp, but if you get moisture, that won't work.

I've had mine in the basement since February. The people at Lindt told me that would be fine until September. They're good until march of next year. Just keep them somewhere cool.

I bought chocolate a couple months ago for my candy buffet and they are in freezer bags in the freezer. We froze chocolate numerous times and they taste fine.
