Strapless Dress vs back fat

Kayla, on March 4, 2017 at 8:54 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 7

I went dress shopping today and found that a strapless A-line fits my body type perfect.... Except for the fact that i look like I've got cleavage on my back... does anyone have any exercises that could specifically target that area? In looking to slim down all over but in the dresses i like that area definitely stands out as the biggest problem. Please help!

Is it in the right size? Maybe get a size bigger and alterations to make it more to your shape.

You can't really target an area. You would have to do some cardio and lose some fat in general (not saying you have fat to lose just speaking generally). I too have a strapless corset dress and my back cleavage is so bad. But I go to order my dress Friday and I'm going to see what they recommend. I would talk to your seamstress.

I'm not an expert in this area, but I agree with Rocio. It sounds like the top is too small. A properly altered dress should alleviate this problem.

If you have a gym membership you can do back workouts with the different machines that they have, also lifting light weights will help. If you YouTube different back workouts that will help start you.

You can't spot reduce. The best thing to do is watch what you eat these next few months and strength train all over (not just the back).

My dress was kind of heavy and gave me back fat until my seamstress put in an "inside belt." It was basically a ribbon sewn into the side seams at the waist, and velcroed at the back. It took off some of the weight of the dress from my bustling/shoulder blade area and put it on my waist/hips. Voila, no more back fat!
