Stress and feeling sick? Traveling? Life changes

So my hubby and I just got back from our honeymoon on Sunday morning (we had an overnight flight) and we went to Maui, HI. It was soo much fun, we spent a week on the island and I wouldn't trade it for anything else!! However, over the past several weeks I have been feeling so blah and can't figure out why. It goes in phases, some days I feel okay ish, other days I feel so fatigued and sick almost. This mostly started around just days leading up to the wedding. We waited a week after the wedding to go on our honeymoon, and for some reason ever since we got back I have had lots of nausea, headache, body ache and major fatigue. Most people have been telling me it's from all the traveling and how my body isn't used to being in a different environment and out of my routine. My hubby said "you've had a lot of life changes in the course of a month. You got married, started school, moved out, went on a honeymoon". So it makes sense when he puts it that way. I get stressed out sooo easily. I know most people will want to say "go talk to a doctor" haha but I really just want to know if this is something anyone else has experienced? I've just never really gotten sick from traveling I guess, so it made me nervous at first but I'm hoping everything will subside in a few days once I settle in more and get back to my normal routine? Has anyone else dealt with this?

It could definitely be from your birth control! I started the pill in April and have gotten nauseous from it once or twice. I've only skipped the sugar pills once and didn't feel nauseous, but hormones can be weird sometimes and make you feel bad!

Yeah that would definitely make a lot of sense! Hopefully it'll all subside soon!

I definitely understand how you feel. I loved my wedding weekend but it was so exhausting. I never took the naps I had scheduled because I had FOMO and wanted to hang out with all my guests. Then we went straight to Ireland and have 6 days jam packed with tours and activities. I've pretty much been going to bed at 8 or 9 instead of my usual 11 or 12. I'm hoping the fatigue goes away soon. I also had a little cold after my wedding that seems to be lingering.

It sounds like pregnancy symptoms but it could also be stress induced (most likely) because of all the life changes. It is possible you just may need a vacation from your vacation, meaning have time for yourself to distress after all your events.

Aww I got married on the 31st and my hubby and I went to Maui too for our honeymoon! Hope you feel better soon! It’s crazy how life changes/stress can effect you. I’ll be in the same boat soon... adding moving to a different state to the mix! Yikes! :-)

The first thing my mom would say is - are you pregnant?

The first thing I would say is - join the club! I also have a very difficult time dealing with stress, and stress can cause a butt load of health issues. If I went through all of that my stomach would be knots.

So my solution - A. Take a test just to make peace with the world, ha! B. Find some time to relieve some stress, and take in your surroundings. Get used to things, it will get better over time.

    Good luck! Smiley heart
