Stress Eating the Week Before the Wedding

Hannah, on March 7, 2017 at 6:55 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 21

My wedding is in 8 days and the past week I've been absolutely starving. It didn't hit me until today after lunch at work that I realized I might have been stress eating. And to top it off I started breaking out today for no reason. Any advice on what to do the next week to help both of these issues?

Like drown yourself in it. Carry around 1 gallon jug. Before you eat anything make sure you drink a full 8 oz. It will keep you busy, focused and you will be so full you won't want to eat half as much. And it will help clear up your skin

Drink water and focus on eating healthy nutritious meals. I know it's hard this last week when there's so much going on, but that's my advice.

For the acne make sure you change your pillow case every day AND wash your hair before you go to bed.

    Also, yeah drink more water.

For the eating? Could you try keeping low calorie/fat snacks handy? Think carrot sticks and celery.

Lol this has been me sadly!

I bought the "10 minute rescue mask" from origins and am using it as spot treatment... my acne has greatly gone down the last three days thank god

Oh and I also use lemon to reduce redness

Surround yourself with healthy snacks - fruits and veggies. I keep a little baggie of carrots in the fridge at work because if I'm craving junk those fill me up quick. And drink lots of water! Do you work somewhere that would allow you to take walks during your lunch break? When my stress is at its peak I take walks outside and it calms me down.

Yeah I work as a janitor so I can take walks around the building and still look like I'm doing something. Yesterday I ran up and down the stairs and I just did a 20 minute workout. Thanks for the advice guys, seriously, you all rock!

Just to add to what everyone is saying about water. Yes, drink lots! Also, keep an eye on how much sodium you're consuming. Your body will retain a lot of that water if you're taking in a lot of sodium. Don't want to be too bloated on the big day! Oh and congrats a little early! 8 days is so close!

Eat clean, completely unprocessed foods. vegetables, fruit, complex carbs if any, lean meat. Example: my lunches all week have been baked chicken, broccoli, and roasted sweet potato.

Try drinking more water. Could be you need to hydrate and your body thinks its hunger. Also, get your endorphins going by doing some physical activity. Try running, walking, swimming, jumping. Anything! Good luck and don't stress out!

Green tea usually helps me. It'll stop me from being "hungry" and helps with bloating. Snacking on almonds also helps a bit.

Remove snacks from your home or work space. If you don't have it, you can't eat it.

    Good luck!!

Carry around a gallon jug and DRINK IT. (I carry one always), do a face mask, and find a time to relax! Go get a pedicure or a massage. Stress makes me break out and eating badly doesn't help. You're only 8 days away! This is exciting! Breathe and enjoy!!

Lemon water... when I get cravings for a sweet tooth, I put some grapefruit essential oil in my water. (1-2 drops) and it helps get rid of any sweets craving I have.
