Stress eating

Kaeli, on June 22, 2017 at 11:14 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 22

Am i the only bride who has gained weight before their wedding? I guess with all the wedding stress, i have found out that im a stress eater, and ive gained about 20lbs over the last year. Now my wedding is 3 weeks away and im feeling so self conscious in my dress. This stinks!

I totally understand the stress eating part. I'm trying to learn how to breath easy when drama starts and take a little walk to clear my mind away from food and also the crazy family. But you will be alright your down the home stretch and you will be the most beautiful bride that your husband to be has ever seen.

I've gained 10 since getting engaged. Ironically, I've been eating way healthier. But I sit a lot more at my new job. I get nervous every time I put on my dress but I remind myself that FH loves me no matter what size I am. Obviously I need to make a change for my health. Trying to stay positive goes a long way to keep me from stress eating.

Ah thank you guys for the support! I was really thinking I was alone in this weight gain. Breathing more is a great idea actually, I don't think I do that enough! lol

I'm a stress eater! It's tough. I've had this problem for a while though and am now slowly managing it with a healthy diet and stress management strategies. It's definitely a journey. You will look gorgeous on your wedding day. Once that's over take some time to evaluate different ways you can manage stress. I went to mindfulness classes.

It's not just you... I'm so busy and stressed that besides stress eating, I'm also eating on the go a lot and missing work outs.

I gained weight at the beginning of wedding planning in January. I'm recently starting to rebuild my routine and diet, and I'm able to cut a little bit and lean out. Hopefully I can stay consistent through the holidays.

But you will be stunning, no matter what! You're gonna have the most beautiful dress on and have your hair and make up done. And the moment you see your FH, nothing else will matter. Don't worry!

Stress eating is the hardest habit to break, I am definitely an emotional eater as well. Focus on eating healthy and dealing with stress in a more helpful way after the wedding, but you will be absolutely stunning on your wedding day no matter what, and you will be marrying the man of your dreams, all the rest of it will fall away.

Drink a lot of water! It will help flush out any bloat from snacking and will give you energy! Berries and grapes, as well as veggie strips and hummus, can make great snacks. I've definitely gained a few pounds (most of it seems stress related, go figure), but I'm just doing my best to move and drink water. Don't worry about carrying a few extra pounds with you... this is you right now, and your FH loves you!

I'm the same! I've been told by so many brides that the stress gets to be so much that you just can't eat anymore... i'm waiting for this to kick in! So far, I just want to eat everything within arms reach!

With 3 weeks out, it pretty much is what it is. I'm sure you will look beautiful! And if there's something you don't like, well, that's why we're paying these photographers so much! Photoshop! Smiley smile

If you try to eat healthy and drink lots of water in this last three weeks, I wouldn't be surprised if at least 5 of those 20 pounds was just water weight. Clear out your fridge and pantry and stock it with some good, clean, non-bloaty stuff. It makes a difference!

Not stress eating yet, but PMSing like crazy and eating all the chocolate chip cookies and drinking all the wine. It's been a bad week!

I joined Weight Watchers just to make sure I am not gaining and that I am loosing some weight. I talked about stress eating cause I turn to junk food. Fruits and veggies she said to munch on. She told me frozen grapes they will kinda remind you of candy a little.

Absolutely not! Since we were planning my wedding, I've just been so hungry! And I've been eating. I don't know that I've gained any weight but... I am eating a lot more and certainly haven't lost a lot. And it just feels like I should be healthier, but all I want to do is eat and eat and eat. You are not alone

I haven't been stress eating, but I have gained weight. I don't really care. I'm a healthy weight. I feel good, and I'm on a healthy diet plan now. I know I'll look and feel gorgeous on wedding day no matter my weight.

I'm definitely a stress eater. I've been doing a cleanse and really trying to eat properly to avoid gaining any more weight. I'm just praying my dress still fits
