Stress, frustration, and nerves

Michelle, on July 3, 2019 at 2:41 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
Oh boy if you ever want time to fly, plan a wedding 😂 despite all the challenges I’ve had along the way everything is booked, bought, and ordered.

The only real headache I’m dealing with is the event manager at my venue. She takes forever to respond to emails, which I can understand since I know I’m not her only client. I sent her an email regarding some important details and she ignored some of the questions. It’s also been a challenge to get them to take my money! I’ve had to send numerous emails to her to have them charge my card, per the contract I’m to receive an email five days prior to the payment due date which has never happened. It’s fine because I have a reminder in my phone but it’s unprofessional in my opinion to not follow through on their own contract. I always have to shoot an email over and ask them to charge my card!

So not only only do I have that, but I’m nervous as heck about the wedding. I have just over two months and I’m trying to find ways to de-stress 😭

OMG I have the same problem with my venue/event coordinator... they don't process my payments when they're supposed to! It's very annoying, I'm thinking... don't you want your money?! Lol. Plus, I make sure to have X amount available for each payment date and then they don't withdraw... drives me nuts. She also takes FOREVER to respond. But oh well, there is no going back now!

You are not wrong!! I feel like just yesterday I was saying I was getting married in 100 days. Tomorrow I will be in the single digits!! Time has flown and I feel like I still have so much to do and am trying to find ways to de-stress as well!

I had some issues with my venue coordinator being responsive as well. It is another added stresser that is completely uncalled for! I always reminded myself that I wasn't her only customer but come on, at least acknowledge that you got the e-mail and say you will give a proper response once you've had time to review the questions/concerns or whatever?

GOOD LUCK! Don't be nervous! Happy planning!

I'm a big fan of copying and pasting previous emails. Not just wedding stuff, but at work when people ignore questions too.

But same. It feels forever away. But suddenly its July and I'm surprised too.

Glad I'm not the only one struggling with this! My venue point of contact takes forever to respond to emails and answer questions, and they're also my catering vendor so that's been fun. My FH has a severe nut allergy and we're trying to work with her on customizing the entrees to have no nuts - hopefully we can work it out with plenty of notice, but so far it's been like pulling teeth.

Give yourself a night off from wedding planning - paint your nails, do a face mask, watch a funny show or a cheesy Disney movie Smiley smile Your wedding is going to be lovely and everything will be fine!
