Stress of weekday wedding for out of towners

So my fiancé and I recent ran into a snag with our current venue and the number of guests that can attend. The date isn’t until 6/12/21 but considering our state has had some major lockdown requirements throughout covid we don’t see any hope of the restrictions being lifted. So we are considering changing our venue and possibly date. We have found a great venue at a great price on Wednesday 6/9/21 and another decent venue for the same price that actually has our date available 6/12/21. My fiancé isn’t really wanting to consider the venue for the middle of the week because he is afraid his out of town cousins may not be as eager to attend and it is important to him that they be there. Considering there is so much time before the wedding and for people to plan is it unreasonable to expect out of towners to be able to make a weekday wedding?
