Strip Clubs for Bachelor Parties

I tried REALLY hard to get FH's best man to promise to drag FH to this really hilariously seedy strip club at the outer banks called headlights (formerly known as mermaids), but FH caught wind of it and nixed the idea. Go figure.

Should we set up a go fund me for all the boob jobs...lol? Kidding. Fucking kidding.

I've been asked if I was a stripper at least 3 times in my adult life. Once my friend/BM got really defensive and mad at the lady who asked. At a pole studio (not the one I am a member of) the teacher asked "what club do you work at?" because I had a gym bag full of "stripper supplies" (high platform shoes, booty shorts, bottle of dry hands).

I legit know someone who has a fucking melt down anytime she sees her DH watching porn, etc. She also gets mad at him if she has a dream that he's fucking around on her. Nuts. And go figure, like O&S mentioned, she claims her DH doesn't care that she hates blowies. Ya right.

I will fully admit that I have a really shitty self esteem and the thought of FH going to a strip club and getting a lap dance makes me a little sad. But it's 100% because of my own self esteem and not because I don't trust my FH. He loves me. He wants me. Him popping a teepee over titties is fine. We even marvel over titties when we watch movies or TV shows when they pop out. I'm just dumb.

However, I am fairly certain that FH will end up at a strip club for his bachelor party. Like I said above, I do feel a little eh about it, but it's 100% my own weird thinking and shitty self esteem and in no circumstances do I feel like because of that FH shouldn't go. I will get over it probably about as quick as I feel that little pang in the chest. Because unlike TV and movies show you, strippers aren't hookers in disguise hanging out in back alleys on their knees with their mouths opening and waiting.

@nikki... ok. I took that as you giving us 5 pages of responses of why you don't want your FH to go to strip clubs, but then (much much later) tell a story about a person who cheated with a stripper. My point was we all have stories like that, where someone cheated on someone from somewhere. If anything it makes it seem like that person's situation is playing into your own insecurities/issues.

A bachelor party should be what the groom wants to do. If he's not into strip clubs then to be at a strip club would be selfish of the groomsmen.

FH's GM have been talking about a bachelor party since we've been engaged. I'm sure a strip club will be a part of it & it really doesn't bother me at all. We've even been there together a few times. It's just not that big of a deal to me. I know it won't go any further than the club.

If it makes you uncomfortable maybe you could talk to FH as well as anyone involved in the party planning.

Comparing going to a strip club and cheating is like trying to compare a hand job with a blow job. It's so not even remotely the same thing. Apples and oranges people. It kills me how these threads always seem to circle back to "trust issues" and "cheating." FFS.

When we first got together I wouldn't be ok because I was cheated on by my ex. But with him I fully trust him I told him to have a bachelor party get a stripper if he wants because is his last nite of being single but he doesn't want one which I'm ok either way. My FH is not a strip club fan and too be honest he's never been to one and my best friend and I always seemed to end up at one while on vacation. OKD- I surprise everyone with the innocent front ;-) the public story we told my parents and in-laws is that we went drinking and dancing. What we really did is went drinking and then made a trip to the strip club- in our tutus and light up suspenders, because when else do you get to do that? :-)
