Style Showdown: Grande or Intimate?

I wanted a much smaller guest list but my fiance has a large and very traditional family where they invite EVERY cousin uncle, aunt, distant relative. So we are at 200 invited and hopefully 180 or less by the wedding...not what I wanted originally but I'm working with it as best I can. It did inflate our budget a bit though which was annoying.

We had 110, which I felt was pretty intimate and I was able to greet or chat with everyone. In reality it’s probably in the middle.

Grand - we're inviting 225 people with the hopes to have about 200 guests attend. I would have loved a more intimate wedding but my fiancé's family is massive!

Definitely intimate for me, however I am looking forward to a few weddings I'm attending over the next year that will be grande!

I enjoy Intimate more. I really just want the people who mean the most to me to enjoy our special day with us.

Exactly!! How many people are you inviting?

It keeps going back and forth. I want to just invite our immediate family and friends which is about 80 people. My fiancé wants to invite everyone! lol About 145 people. We are still ironing out the details....

Grande because we have a lot of friends and family we want to invite.

Intimate is more relaxing for me, less stress, just do something nice and simple
