Stylist Red Flags to Avoid?

I would say look out for stylists who have a nice Instagram portfolio along with a professional website. Check out Facebook and instagram videos to see what kind of hair types and styles the artist does well with especially if they have alot of bridal clients. Look not only at their social media, but at the tagged photos!

Of course they will only post their best, but their tagged photos will be from clients so you can see how it looked throughout the day.

Also, most cities have facebook pages for local brides (like Atlanta Brides, Houston Brides, etc) and asking there is a great place to look for recommendations!

Look out reviews, ratings and if they the least amount of pictures. Also, look to see how long they have been in business and go with what you know(if it doesn’t look or seem right don’t go for it). Look at the websites that the ladies mentioned. I looked at thumbtack.com bc it gives you ratings, reviews, how long they been in business, their profiles etc. This is where I found my makeup artist and my limo. I hope that this helps. Definitely look to see if they’ve done hair and makeup on girls with similar hair to yours (thickness/length), and see if they have a picture of the exact style you want as well so you know they’re capable of doing it. I did not like mine and came out nothing like I wanted because I just assumed that due to their many good reviews and claims that they would be able to achieve any style that was asked for which was untrue.
