Has anyone successfully hosted a wedding in a private backyard? I would rather allocate the venue cost into better food/drinks/etc.. But can it be done? I would get a day-of-coordinator at the very least to make sure everything is set up, but is it possible to make a backyard wedding seem nice/formal/intimate without seeming "cheap" or thrown together?
