Suits. :/

One of my cousins purchased a suit from goodwill for about $100!

I was thinking about checking out kohls but i dont know if im just being wierd about the price since, well, my dress was expensive...

Macy’s usually has sales. My husband has gotten suits from there for a couple hundred.

Macy’s might be good! I think Nordstrom may still do free alterations? You could put Macy’s gift cards on your wedding registry. Then if you get early wedding gifts or bridal shower gift cards it can go toward the suit.

Yes we wanted to buy a nice suit to buy after hours of looking we are renting.

There's a pretty awesome store called Indochino that makes completely custom suits. They have sales pretty often. SIL had a beautiful dark gray suit made for less than $400. He got to choose the fabric, from a variety of style options, the lining, etc. They even embroidered the wedding date on the inside over the breast pocket.... It's a beautiful suit and is tailored perfectly for him. The have "brick & mortar" locations as well as an online store.

For another option, we bought husband's FOB suit at Macy's. He got a beautiful suit, either Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren, on sale for about $350.

If he changes his mind and wants to rent, Daughter & SIL were very happy with Black Tux for the GMs.

Suits can be expensive, but consider this to help put things into perspective: you’re going to wear your dress once. How many uses will your FH get out of a suit? My FH’s custom suit ended up being a few hundred dollars more than my dress (before alterations), but I know he’ll wear it after our wedding for a variety of events, making his suit much more ‘worth it’ than my dress. Totally depends on planned use and what’s important to the both of you.

Also maybe the Brooks Brothers Outlet. I know it’s a huge expense now- but he will have it for many years and it will work for many events to come.

H&M and ASOS.com have fairly cheap suits

My FH was in a wedding a while back and all of the groomsmen had to buy their suits. They were $200 from men’s wearhouse!! We snagged him another snappy black suit on a Black Friday sale from Macy’s. It’s a Calvin Klein and I think he got pants and jacket for around $250 total.
