Summer weddings

Hi ladies! I would just like to give everyone SOME piece of mind if you're nervous. I am getting married on July 30th, 2021. About a week ago I started to panic because one of my friends is thinking of rescheduling their date (Washington state restrictions). After talking to many people, I decided I am following through with my wedding for several reasons unless something SUPER crazy happens. I think by July, all the older people will be vaccinated and I truly believe cases will start going down because of the vaccine (either if you don't personally get the vaccine). I just read an article that the vaccine isn't going anywhere, so the people getting a vaccine will only get better and better. Every older person I have talked to has has their vaccine and they personally feel comfortable coming to our wedding now (i'm talking 80 + years old). And by taking extra precautions, I feel like it truly can be done.

I personally do not want to postpone if my close family and friends will be there because I don't want to go through the hardship of having to wait an entire year but I understand some people don't mind and would rather postpone.

I just wanted to write this because I feel like with so much negativity and worry, there should be some positive thinking going on! ❤️ Thinking of all you ladies and hope you make the best decision for YOU and your soon to be husband.

Hello, thank you for sharing and promoting some positivity. This forum could really use some. COVID has turned what used to be such a lively site full of excited bride to be’s into an anxiety pool of couples (myself included) trying to salvage plans and start from scratch. It’s been truly so tough. I like you, have decided that the show must go on. Even if there’s just 10 ppl. I cannot prolong this anxiety any longer. We don’t want to wait. We just want our married life to begin. And with our parents and their health problems there is no guarantee what their health will be like next year. Just them getting through this long engagement of ours has been a blessing. Four months to go and we will be married. We have stocked up on PPE, wrote a detailed safety letter, created socially distanced seating arrangements and household reception seating, redid our timeline to accommodate the no dancing rule and replace with games, moved the event outdoors. We are ready! COVID has taken so much. It won’t take our wedding day. Sending love and hugs to all in your journey 💕

Hey date twin!! Thanks for your post! We are feeling optimistic too for our 7/30 wedding in Virginia! We’ve been vaccinated and are encouraging others to do the same when they are eligible. Sending good vibes to all 😊
