Sunburn/tan line remedies?

Emily, on July 30, 2017 at 3:25 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 12

My wedding is this week, and unfortunately yesterday I was out in the sun all day and got really burnt on my chest, and wicked tan lines on my back. I wanted to ignore it, but my dress is completely strapless with a really low back. What can I do to even out the tan lines quickly, and heal the sunburn so it doesn't peel this weekend during the wedding?

Aloe Vera for the burn, followed by keeping it moist with a non scented lotion. That will help it not peel. As for tan lines....i really am not sure other than a self tanner?

Aloe for your burn, not sure what you can do about tan lines though.

Why wouldn't you be wearing sunscreen?

I would talk to your MUA, they may be able to airbrush something.

What everyone else said and your MUA maybe able to help. Green cancels out reds so don't be alarmed if they start putting that on you.

This sounds bizarre but it works: black tea. Make it really strong, cool it down, paint it on in thin coats and let it dry. Wait as long as you can stand it (hanging out at home for hours is what I do) then rinse in cool water.

Showering in cool water will also help and feel good, hot water will irritate the burn.

Yup, aloe and lots of lotion to try and prevent peeling. You could try self tanner for the tan lines, but test it first.

And that is why I will be wearing SPF 100 all week long pretty much all over my body except for my stupid fitbit tanline that I am trying desperately to fill in with a little sun.

For the tan lines, I'd get a spray tan where the person actually sprays you not just the machine. Then have my makeup artist cover any remaining lines with makeup

Aloe and if you have a dermatologist maybe go see what they can offer you. Mine gave me some kind of cream for my burns and it literally takes everything away so fast. I forget what's its called though Smiley sad

Vinegar over the burn and lotion lotion lotion! That's my go to for turning it to a tan faster and to prevent peeling! As for evening it out - I would try a spray tan.

Black tea or apple cider vinegar! Dabbing either on sunburn will take the sting out and fade the redness
