We are getting married on a Sunday! But it is memorial day weekend so a lot of people will be off Monday anyway. We saved $1000 for booking a Sunday instead of Saturday.

We did not consider Sunday. We did however consider a Friday night. I think it’s easier for people to leave work early and party late because most will have Saturday off then to ask people to stay late on a Sunday night when most will work Monday. I think you’d get a lot of people leaving early.
Ultimately we decided on a Saturday night. You could consider the off season to save money. We are saving a lot getting married May 2nd as oppose to June-September

We planned our wedding to be on a Sunday! It’s much cheaper and we chose a busy month that only had one Saturday left. So we chose to go with Sunday to save $. Since most of our guests are either retired or work in the education field, we figured with summer break it wouldn’t be too much of an inconvenience having it on a Sunday. We are thinking 4-9pm! Gives enough time for guests to return home, or take off Monday if need be!

We are getting married the Sunday of Labor Day weekend next year. Our venue was 3 grand cheaper and we figured everyone would be off on Monday anyways!

Yes! I got married this past Sunday and paid a fraction of the cost. Our ceremony was at 10am so it still allowed people plenty of time to enjoy and mingle and still be back home to start the work week

We had our wedding on a Sunday for this reason. The only thing about is a lot of ppl had to leave a lil early, and it didn’t seem like we really got the party floor going. Other than tht, it was fine.

We only didn't firmly think about another day other than a Saturday based on others' work schedules. We want as many of our guests to be able to attend without worrying of rushing from work or not celebrating later into the night because of work the next day.
Honeslty if Sunday is what you think works best for your situation, do it! Much cheaper with venues for sure!

We did not, we figured everyone wants there Sunday before having to go back to work on Monday. If money is an issue do it, the people who care will show up no matter what day of the week it is. Just be prepared for the party to end soon!

We had an adults only Sunday boozy brunch wedding dance party that began at 11:30am and wrapped at 6:30pm. It was a destination wedding for 75% of guests and 90% of our guest list accepted.
Because we had a few challenges we had our wedding adults only. We were paying for open bar, wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time and celebrating our wedding and giving people an excuse to get a sitter!
It was a tall order– to have a Sunday wedding that wasn't a holiday weekend, a destination wedding, no kids, open bar, full dance floor, but we did it!
If we had a choice of dates we would have picked Saturday but there's nothing we would have changed and it was seriously the best day. Cheers!

My Fiancé and I are doing a Sunday wedding and we are so happy we made that choice. Not only are we saving money but it opened up so many other doors for us. At our venue with Sunday weddings they offer full bar and different catering packages that not only fit in our budget but its exactly what we wanted. If your venue offers inclusive packages and offer Sunday packages it’s totally worth looking into!

We chose a Sunday. Not because of the price difference (it wasn’t by much) we chose wot because it’s also my birthday 👸🏼

We picked a Sunday on a holiday weekend. Not our original choice, but all the Saturday dates were taken during the time frame we preferred. Not saving money due to the holiday, but feel better about the day since many people will have Monday off. It’s been beneficial with booking other vendors I think too, since Saturdays seem to be the most popular.

My wedding will be on a Sunday! Big way to save some money and it’s until 10 so I don’t feel it’s a crazy time if someone has to wrk the next day

What time did the evening ones you attended go until? My soon to brother-in-law is planning on getting married on a Sunday and I'm curious what to expect for the timeline

One was 10:30 PM and the other was at 11 PM. I went to a Thursday wedding that ended 1 AM and I stayed until the very end lol. So, it all depends on the couple getting married.

I am getting married on a Sunday. The only way I would do it is if it fell in a 3day weekend. We are getting married memorial day weekend next year. It reduced our venue price by 1,700.00.
