Sunday Wedding Start Time-october

Christy, on July 2, 2018 at 10:25 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
Hello beautiful brides!
What are your suggestions for a Sunday wedding start time in October? Getting married 10/21/18. It will be dark by 6:40pm and the venue is about an hour out of town. I was thinking 3-9 or 2-8pm. I realize some people will need to leave earlier because it’s on a Sunday, and that’s fine.

Early weddings can be spectacular! Your second time suggestion, 2-8, may offer your guests a more comfortable window for travel, but I don't imagine either timeframe would be offputting to most guests. Happy planning!

Our wedding is May 26th a Sunday. Our timeline is 1pm-7pm. Older guest will have time to get home before dark. Its a holiday weekend and most wont have to work that monday so we will also have an after party at our favorite mexican restaurant from 8pm-until.

I would be happy with either of those timeframes. We’re invited to two Sunday weddings in October this year, and I believe one is at 1:30 and the other at 3.

Either of those start times are good options and you can't go wrong.

Hey Christy! Welcome to WeddingWire--I'm so happy you're here and jumping into our discussion posts! I think you're safe to go with either of those timeframes since they both leave you with a decent chunk of both daylight and nighttime while not being too late on a Sunday. If you're concerned about the number of people who might opt to leave early, play it safe and go with the 2-8 idea! But as a wedding guest, I know I'd be perfectly fine celebrating with you until 9PM as well! Smiley smile

Are you planning to have a fall themed wedding since your big day is in October?

We are doing a Sunday wedding, starting ceremony at noon, followed by cocktail hour and lunch reception. Reception will be over at 6! We mostly did this because we have a lot of OOT guests and wanted to give them the opportunity to leave Sunday evening without missing the wedding, but we also like the idea of a daytime wedding Smiley smile

I am doing a sunday wedding also Sept 2019 labor day weekend . Most people have the next day off. My wedding is 5 to 11 pm. We will probably take pics around 6pm so we can still catch some sunlight.
