So a couple of weeks ago me and the FH went to look at the venue we wanted. His idea and not mine, which surprised me because we are not "officially" engaged. Well we placed a "soft hold" on a date which doesn't require any money. So today we get a call from the venue that someone else is interested in our date. Called the FH and he says "they can't have it." Which means we have to put down our deposit and the date is officially ours! Yes I am still waiting for the ring, but I don't care as much and don't feel the need to bug him about because the deposit makes it official for me! Just wanted to share my excitement!
