Surprise for fh

Jennifer, on November 14, 2021 at 12:49 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 6

Has anyone here done a little surprise for their FH? I kind of want to do this. I was thinking of singing "Bless the Broken Road" during our Welcome Party/Rehearsal Dinner. I know it's super cheesy haha but he loves cheese and I can already imagine him crying. Editing to say that I already know the song by heart so it wouldn't have to be something I'd have to spend too much time learning or anything.

My husbands birthday was at midnight during our wedding so I brought out a Star Wars themed cake for him.

I mean… can you sing well? Like beyond friends/family telling you that you’re good at singing? Any performance experience?

Not professionally. Like never got paid to do it because my work is in consulting IT. Singing doesn’t pay well lol.

It’s really hard to give advice on this. If you want to and think he’ll enjoy it then you should do it.

I think it is a lovely idea that you want to give him a unique gift. Do you get shy though because singing in front of people can be nerve-wracking? Smiley smile

While I won't be doing anything of that sort because I hate the spotlight, I do plan on getting a custom tie patch made for my fiancé with photos of both of his grandfathers and giving it to him the night before the wedding at home together. One of them he lost before we met and the other he lost less than a year ago, and I know it upsets him not having them there so I wanted him to have them included in some way. He hates being super emotional around a ton of people which is why I'm going to give it to him at home the night before so he has time to get out whatever he needs to without being worried of others seeing.
