@ Maraia, I am hopefully doing a dance with my BMs as well. Cater 2 U - Destiny's Child. I'm nervous already!

I'm going to do a boudoir shoot and didn't know when to give it to him. Ladies that are doing this as a gift, what's your plan? Can't wait to do the shoot, the weddings in September so I'm waiting until I'm tan!

All the years we have been together I saved all the little notes he has given me. He doesn't know I have them, so I'm going to make a book out of them that creates a timeline of our relationship. Along with that I'm making him socks that say (in case of cold feet) for him to wear and a grooms survival kit.

FH is a golf pro and like most competitive athletes he has superstitions. Since he was in high school when he plays in his golf tournaments he always has two shiny pennies in his pocket. So I am getting a little key ring with two pennies from our birth year (1979) and wedding year (2013) and a matching copper medallion that says Lucky Us with a note telling him to make sure he has it in his pocket for the wedding.

@Andrea, I love the sock idea.

Maraia: You go girl. LOL. I am so shy when it comes to dancing...i'm not terrible, but definitely not great and yet I have the most outgoing personality but wanna see me nervous, make me dance. Haha. I could do it for him 1:1 but not at a reception. So I may dance for him on the honeymoon, lol. I am with several of the other ladies...I think boudoir is my way to go! Smiley smile

@Andrea - I'm doing the cold feet thing too! But mine is coming from Etsy.

His groom's gift will be a personalized bobble head of him with some miscellaneous Honda stuff on it, like a small recreation of his after market steering wheel and red Honda H emblems. Then, on the sly, I am also doing a grooms cake that is a remake of the valve cover on his engine. Even though I won't see him when he opens up his gift, I am so excited to see his face light up when he sees his cake Smiley smile

My FH is getting a few gifts one for his b-day, one because it is our anniversary, and two for the wedding. I have not figured out what to get him for his b-day or the anniversary or one of the wedding gifts. But I am so excited I have a friend that is a rapper from school. I asked him if he could write a song for me and come preform it. I have to still make a list of the stuff that I want to be in the song but it is so hard to keep the secret! It might be a duet. my friend has a female friend that could sing with him. so excited to see how it turns out.

    Mrs V I don't either.... I'm too bawkbawk chicken.

I thought about doing a painting, incorporating the designs on our two rings... mine is a heart surrounded by grapeleaves, his is a nordic dragon. I was considering the heart in the back ground, and the dragon surrounded by grape leaves/vines. Kind of our family crest, if you will Smiley winking

I think I'm getting him a pocket watch (although he just pointed out some cuff links he really likes today) and a shirt I saw on Etsy for him to wear when we leave for the honeymoon that says this guy loves his wife!

After the rehearsal dinner but before we go our separate ways until the following morning, FH will get a pair of socks to ward off cold feet, a Seiko watch so he won't be late, and a boudoir book to remind him of what he's looking forward to.

I don't want to give him anything special like that at the church because I want to make sure he doesn't have to worry about forgetting it. I also don't want a boudoir book lying around at my church. Could you imagine if he forgot it, and the next morning the congregation showed up for church and found it?!?! LOL!

FH saw a wedding picture of my parents cutting the cake with Dad's Naval Officer's ceremonial sword. He wanted to do the same, but he's not an officer. Maybe I can finagle some sort of thing where Dad presents his sword to FH, ceremoniously, and then we cut the cake and give it back. I don't even know it that's allowed though.

@Stacie G. a boudoir shoot is like a pinup shoot. They're basically "glamour" shots in lingerie. Boudoir Divas is a great example - just Google images for "Boudoir Divas".

I know I'm a little late responding to this, but if I came across this thread looking for some ideas, I know other brides to be will & I want to share my plans:

My FI is a huge car fan. But we cant necessarily afford one. He drives a 1999 Ford Escort with a mismatched front panel. Also, he keeps telling me how he cant wait to wear a tux for the first time & he cant wait to see/feel how good he looks. So, I'm renting him a nice Ford Mustang GT convertible & having his best man show up in it where they are getting ready (so my FI doesn't see me before the wedding) with a note that says something along the lines "Here's a stylish car for my stylish groom!"

imagine how amazing my car junkie FI will feel/look cruising to our wedding, with the top down & in his tux. He's going to love it!

And its not expensive to rent. I'm looking at about $150 for him to have it all day on our wedding day and then to return it at the airport before our honeymoon the next morning

Live the idea of a boudoir book, but the shoot itself is expensive and then you still have to buy prints...

I think I'm doing a few things.... 1.) Grooms cake 2.) Memory table with his mom's pictures and ashes on it, so she can be at our wedding and 3.) I'm going to buy two stars in our names

Someone gave a really cool idea to do cuffs with his moms image on them, so she can be by his side for our wedding... contemplating doing this...
