So our families gather for our daughters birthday, knowing we will have a "surprise dinner" for the birthday girl after the party. While our daughter is opening gifts I run off with my photographer (who is also my friend and was photographing the birthday party) to go get changed into my dress! While I'm away, my Husband ran off to get into place at the end of the aisle. Then our daughter opened a gift that had a note saying to go to the other room. Our friend/DJ stayed with the party to make sure everything went as planned and got everyone to the correct room. Finally they enter the room, and from what I was told, it took them ALL awhile to understand what was happening. (We even had the song "Good Day For Marrying You" on to make it even more obvious.) As soon as I saw everyone was in the room, I snuck out into the hallway outside the door. Our friend/DJ tells my parents I am waiting for them in the hall, so they come out. My mom is BALLING. She has been wanting this for so so long. Then she actually sees me in my wedding dress and cries even harder! Lots of hugs happened, then she took my dads hand and said "you are walking her down the aisle!" (Ha! She got right down to it.
)Anyway, ceremony starts and when I finally enter the room, I see everyone is balling their eyes out. We get through the ceremony and even my Husband is shedding a few tears. (He never cries!) Finally we are pronounced as husband and wife, we kiss, everyone tells us thays enough and to get a room (ha!) and then we eat the dinner everyone thought we were having to begin with. Lol.
Now it's time to plan the reception. And now I have help!
