    I'm gonna say they were both a**holes. The bride doesn't get to be upset that her MIL wore white when that's something normal of her AND she didn't know it was a wedding. FIL shouldn't have insulted the bride's looks.

    Surprise wedding is definitely a no go in my opinion.

    My mom and step-dad had a surprise wedding. Only them and my moms best friend knew everyone else thought it was my stepdads birthday party. My stepdad is a biker so we were all in jeans and tshirts and stuff definitely not wedding attire, but they loved it so that is all that matters!

    It was! But I am not going to lie I was a little mad that in their wedding pictures I am wearing jeans and a sweatshirt with messy hair because we are in a biker bar lol
