Surprise ! We're pregnant and moving wedding date!

Kate, on March 26, 2017 at 9:16 PM Posted in Planning 0 20

I need some advice! Our original wedding date was set for October 6th however 2 days after we send out our STDs we got some amazing (unplanned) news that I'm pregnant and due September 30th...after many back and forth debates we decided to push the wedding back till December 29th, the venue was understanding enough to work with us and not take all our money as long as we kept the wedding within the same year...so now we're debating on new STDs and whether to just send an updated one with the NEW date or doing something like (wording would vary & I'll take any ideas) we're pregnant so save the new date or to just reach out to everyone via phone/ email explaining the situation & then just send out invitations with the new date but I don't want to cause too much confusion...what to do ?!?

Dual card announcement and SAVE THE NEW DATE! There has to be cute wording out there somewhere " Save the date - baby B 9/30 / save the date " our family of 3 wedding " 12/29

Etsy is the perfect place to start. Zazzle is good, too. Vistaprint also has the option to work with a graphic designer for $5. Congratulations!

What a wonderful reason to have to move your date! Congratulations!

Definitely try Vistaprint or Snapfish. I've ordered several cards from both companies and they were awesome!

No better reason to postpone. Congratulations!

Depending on the size of your guest list, word of mouth might be easy. If you have a bigger list, maybe consider sending an updated one.

    Best wishes Smiley smile

Hi! This looks like an older post but just curious what you ended up doing. I Just found myself in the same boat and don't know what to do about the 200+ save the dates we just sent out. Lol

Congrats! We had new save the dates made that stated “save the new date because we’re expecting” if I remember correctly I made them through vistaprint. It was obviously more work & more costly but it worked out great! I will say having a wedding with a 3 month old was a whirlwind but it was amazing to have my son there.
