Surreal feeling?

Does anyone else feel like the wedding day is surreal or far away like it’s just not ever going to happen? I don’t mean that in an angsty way. My wedding is weeks away and I still feel like it’s not real if that makes sense? I think I’ve just spent so much time planning and thinking there’s still so...
Does anyone else feel like the wedding day is surreal or far away like it’s just not ever going to happen? I don’t mean that in an angsty way. My wedding is weeks away and I still feel like it’s not real if that makes sense? I think I’ve just spent so much time planning and thinking there’s still so much time left that my brain is kind of stuck in that mode. I’m a little worried I won’t get out of it and I’ll let the day totally pass me by lol. How soon is everyone’s wedding and what are some of the emotions going through your mind as it gets closer? It helps to know I’m not the only one with crazy thoughts lol.

Ours feels far away. It's not until October and people keep asking how is wedding planning going and I tell them haven't planned much we got a venue and the church last year and we are doing premarital counseling wedding party has been chosen and informed but other than that there is nothing to do this early and nothing to plan. I think come August or September I will be more excited about it and there will be more to do. I also think everyone is different as to when they get excited and how early they start doing wedding planning and prep.

I’m so sorry you had to go through that. But I’m glad you got out of that relationship and found a good person to be with. I think the day of it will hit me too, or at least I hope it does haha 😆

I totally remember that time. When you have all the big stuff taken care of but it’s too early to really do a lot of the little details. I remember after New Years was over I was like “shoot, I need to get my butt in gear” and that is when it got more exciting for me. I just keep thinking this coming week I meet with my florist and photographer, then next week I get my dress, then the next week family comes to town and we get married. Its a crazy ride we’re all on lol.

Yes. It’s very surreal. I never thought that I would get married.

Definitely! We're eloping next year on our anniversary, and we technically don't NEED to start planning or saving or anything like that for it until October. Almost doesn't feel like it's going to happen haha!

That’s so exciting! I have had days where I almost wish we went about this a different way lol. In the end we will have spent more than I make in a year on one day. And I love the idea of it being just being you and your FH and your close family if you choose.

My wedding is next October and I feel like that everyday. I've become a crazy neurotic person, obsessing over EVERYTHING!! My wedding has oozed into every waking moment, I'm tired of thinking of it. I want it over already so I can return to normal.

Yes! Oozed is a perfect way to put it! I don’t know what I’m going to do when this is over because so much time is spent thinking about it. I will be relieved that I have some extra money to spend on things I want but I also am not sure what i will do with my down time. And I totally get the neurotic part. There was a point a couple weeks ago that my nerves were just shot. It was a combination of things, not just the wedding but the wedding didn’t help lol. I’ve calmed down since but still. It’s just such a big thing and a long time planning for one day!

We started at 14 months, and now we are down to one. I have a lot of little details left to get together.. but it's like it hasn't truly hit me that it's actually here yet. I don't think it'll hit me until I am at the venue the day of getting ready. It's just so crazy to believe after months of planning, we are down to one month and that I am actually getting married. But I think when the day does come, I am going to be so excited and know all the planning was worth it.

Yes it will all be so worth it. I’m trying to get myself in the excited mode instead of planning mode and really enjoy these last couple weeks. It’s so dang close!

We’re date twins!!! Just like you, we’re 15 days away from our BIG day and it feels overwhelming right now. I’m super stressed, as just like you said, little things keep adding to the list and it feels like a never ending “To Do” list. I feel like I’ll forget something (important) or that I won’t have time to pack for the honeymoon. I think I have daily nightmares, if not at least over 3-4 times a week. I want our day to be here and be as wonderful as we envisioned and just enjoy the vacations afterwards!

Yay! May 4th will be the best! And yes, there’s so many little details that it can just consume you. I’m trying really hard work on my breathing and calming myself down so I actually enjoy the day instead of being totally stressed out lol. And as much as I’m excited to have the wedding I’m just as excited for it to be over so I actually have some money left to spend lol.

Mine is 10/30/2020 and I’m so delved into planning you’d think it was this year! I feel like i have to wait so long to marry my FH, I wish we could elope right now! but he’s firm on having a real wedding for the family lol. He has a lot to say about our day. So I’m planning my dream wedding. But I feel like it’s so far in the distance.

It will come so dang fast. I promise. I had that feeling too and just kept saying ok next month I buy a dress, and the next month would come and it’s onto the next thing. It’s a good thing you have that much time. We had a year, which was a good amount of time. But I know I’d be less stressed if I planned it out better and didn’t have to cut corners on anything due to finances. I think you guys will be happy you’re taking the time and doing the big wedding. The day will be here before you know it!

You def are not the only one... mine is 2 months away and it sometimes just feel like blah blah blah.... I believe it’s only cause everything is finally coming to a head if that makes sense... and it’s crunch mode to make sure everything is done and in order. I believe that once I make those finally payments and able to say everything is done the overly excitement will take back over and I will be preparing for a terrific day.... we got this it’s our moment to shine

Yeah, I think once I turn in the final count to the venue and order the seating chart, that’s the last two big things to be done. Then I’ll be able to relax and enjoy it. Or at least I hope lol. I really am so excited I just need to chill and enjoy that excitement.
