Avoid any extras, especially items that aren’t appreciated. Thank you gifts, extra table decor (or any table decor!), rent as much as possible or buy gently used items. Electronic invites can be avoided. Having guests avoid travel as much as possible is a massive invisible piece. Hope this helps.

Yes, invites was the first and most obvious one to my mind. If you did buy a gift, it could be something sustainable and recycled or resuable. I was thinking maybe even little native saplings people could take away, which could also double as your floral arrangements on the tables or something?

Stay away from disposable or paper anything. Cloth napkins, real plates, bottles of beer that can be recycled, real drink glasses. I'd stay away from favors (people rarely take them). Keep things local for as many people as possible. Do shuttles if you can to avoid everyone driving separately. Good for you for thinking of this stuff!!

You know another thing is food in general - maybe ask people to take their leftover food to go or if your caterer or venue can do a compost or something with the food scraps? food waste is a huge thing as well
