Hey All, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how you're getting in shape for your upcoming wedding, or if you are now married what did you do to feel extra confident in your dress?!
I absolutely love my dress, but since moving in with my FH, I've gained 8 pounds of happiness lol my dress is a trumpet/a-line hybrid. So not mega form fitting like a mermaid. Want to work on my abs and arms.
All advice is welcome!!
Thank you!
Melissa

I plan on eating cleaner with Keto influences. I'm also taking a 10-week Aqua Zumba class at my local pool this summer. So far 6lbs down!

I personal train, my advice would be to cut a few calories out, maybe 500, and push your exercises. Go on walks, find an at home workout or a gym the use machines such as elliptical, bike, stair steppers. Small body weights like 5lbs will do wonders!

So since I'm familiar with Cassey Ho, I've gone ahead and am following her Bridal bootcamp regime. I made a personal calendar of cardio exercises from her to do before the bootcamp vids. Let me just say the first round was happily ever after abs. My whole body has died, but it's totally worth it!

8lbs sounds like retention (water weight). As a trainer my first suggestion to lose bloat is to eliminate all preservatives including carbonation. These foods and drinks tend to slow down digestion allowing your body to absorb and retain all the sodium and etc that comes with them. My second suggestion would be to increase water. Try to flush all the stored stuff out.

I also believe HIIT style training is most effective to burn and build lean muscle. (Heart rate up and down... mixing in a bit of cardio, then weights, back and forth for a solid 35 mins) there are tons of examples of these on pinterest if you search quick hiit workouts. No need to pay a ton of money to a gym yet until you get your routine worked out.

Give yourself bench Mark's. 3 weeks at a time. Example :
First 3 weeks - no carbonation, no packaged food, increase water, begin figuring out workout schedule
2nd 3 weeks - have solid workout schedule 4-5 days a week. Maintain eating routine. Start to decrease portion sizes for food.
3rd 3 weeks - repeat all above and add food schedule (trying to schedule largest meal within 90 mins post workout... smaller meals further from workouts)
4th 3 weeks - add in a new workout once a week (long run, swim, hike, cycling class)....

And I always say, give yourself a fun day (cheat day) at the end of each of those 3 week benchmarks... next thing you know you'll be lean confident with healthy repeatable habits.

    You got this girl!

P.s. 8 lbs is not a ton to lose. You are beautiful with those 8lbs. Focus more on feeling better and more healthy /confident less on the number.

That's awesome! I liked LIIFT4 due to only having to workout 4 days a week, I did supplement a little with some 10 minute abs from other programs on BOD. I am beginning 21 day fix extreme next week since I am starting my third week of 21 day fix today!
