Sweetheart Table Backdrop

Kimaureen, on September 28, 2017 at 4:18 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 25

Has anyone ever done their own backdrop for their sweetheart table? I'm thinking of doing that on my own instead of paying to have it done or just go without. Maybe order the panels on eBay and fix it up.

If you've made one on your own feel free to attach yours to your comment let us see your work.

Is putting backdrops behind sweetheart tables a thing now? We just had the table....

I never heard of having a backdrop. I definitely won't be stressing about that but if it's what you want, have fun!

I think backdrops are pretty common depending on the venue... I mean who wants to have an ugly hotel ballroom wall behind them?

Sorry no real tips because we have scenery we don't want to hide, but check out pinterest, there was a girl on here who had a flower wall as a backdrop and it was gorgeous

We have the ugly restaurant wall that FME mentions. Our DJ is putting up sheer panels with string lights behind them. You could argue that I could probably do that myself but I just don't wanna. I am the WORST at DIY and would definitely eff it up somehow.

If you are at all crafty and patient, you can make giant paper flowers. They can be attached to a blank wall with 3M Command Strips.

I'm in the same boat. I originally got a quote to do draping for the entire room but when we got the quote back...I died a little on the inside. So we're now just going to do a decorated draped backdrop.

What look are you going for? Muriel's paper flower wall is a good idea...

The idea from Norma above, can be done so easily with sheer drapery panels and curtain lights.

@tiffany lol I died too, I kinda want to not spend more than I have to. I was thinking to be really simple lol using sequin fabric for the backdrop since one of my colors is gold and mostly decorating our table.

Here is mine. It is a partial of the backdrop but it will be 8ft wide. I bought the circle garland off etsy but this will be hung from pipe.

This is what we are using, except all white. It is included with the cost of the draping for us.

We're having large vases with curly willow branches as the backdrop for our ceremony, and they're going to be moved into the reception area off to the sides/behind our sweetheart table during the reception.

We have a fireplace mantle with shelves to decorate. We're keeping it simple, mercury glass vases, votive candles, etc.
