Sweetheart Table Mr. & Mrs. Decor

Melissa, on March 30, 2016 at 9:24 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

I want to get a Mr. & Mrs. sign (script block signs) for our sweetheart table but don't know how tall they should be. Has anyone used them and have a recommendation? 6"? 8"? Please help!

Thanks!!!

I would think 8" would be too tall? I would go 6.5" or less, but it would depend on your table size. Mrs. Faith has hers at a longer table, but FH and I will be at a smaller table just the two of us, so her 6" would look bigger on our smaller table. Also - check out Amazon - they have a ton of these.

FH and I got a cute little chalkboard sign that has scrolled edges, and we will either write 'Mr. & Mrs.' on it or 'The McCoys' - but again, we are using a smaller table, so I needed something smaller.

Are you doing a floral arrangement on your table? If so I think the 8" would be better so it stands out near the flowers. If not, I agree with PPs that 6" is probably fine!

Here they are on a smaller table before we painted them. This table is about 3 ft long, where as our sweetheart table was 6 ft long.

    I think I saw them at Michael's.

We're DIY'ing our own on foam board and stringing them together with ribbon then pinning it either to the table cloth on the front of the table or on the backdrop behind us instead of putting it on the table.

I actually just picked up this at my local Joann's: http://www.joann.com/laser-cut-wood-sign-rounded-rectangle-mr.-mrs./14649099.html#q=mr+and+mrs&start=17

It's a little over a foot long and about 6" tall. I E6000'd it to a flat piece of wood to make it stand up. I already have some shiny blue spray paint to color it. Overall cost for me is about $8.

I definitely originally wanted them to be the loose Mr & Mrs, but I like that I just have to worry about one piece to get to where it needs to go!

I don't know exactly how tall mine were, but I got cute ones on Amazon for around $8 for the set.

You know what would be even cooler? Body contortionist forming "Mr. & Mrs." On your table! That would be a REAL wow factor! Smiley laugh
