Sweetheart Table or Head Table

We are doing a large head table with BP and their guest/spouse. My best friend did it at her wedding and it was GREAT! We all had a wonderful time and it looked really nice. They had people seated on both sides, but right in front of them there was an empty space so they could see all the guest tables, and the guests could see them.

My FH and I aren't really doing either - we are mixing the bridal party with the rest of the guests/their families and sitting each of the bridesmaids/groomsmen with their dates. My fiance and I are both introverts and don't like a lot of attention on us, so a sweetheart table was a no go for us. They seem to be pretty popular, I just think its up to you and your fiance and your personalities.
