Sweetheart Table - What size are you using?

We did not have a sweetheart table. We just sat with our parents and pastor (and his wife).

My planner and DOC mentioned that not many couples opt to do sweetheart tables anymore. Perhaps just a regional thing, but I thought it was interesting. We weren't going to do it regardless.

Ours was round and I think 4', maybe 5'? Can't remember size for sure.

If they don't care, I wouldn't worry about it. Just go with what you've already ordered.

In that case, what would you like to see?

48" round

We're doing a smaller rectangular table. I don't think it really matters so long as everything fits. I also like the half circle tables, they look nice. We just don't have one available.

The only reason I'm second guessing the half round is the table skirt. I don't know if a normal one would fit. There isn't a special one listed in the rentals.

Time to ask the venue coordinator who is handling the base linens, tablecloths, skirts and napkins, how it's usually done and just go with that.

I think ours is a 48" round. FH reasoned that a lot of people will want to pull up a chair and visit for a moment, so having a little extra space will be handy for them to set drinks down and stuff. It'll also give plenty of space to set my bouquet in a vase and not have it looming over our plates.

Ours is a long table to fit I believe 8. The rest of the wedding party will be at another round table closest to the head.
