Swim up or balcony

Danielle, on September 22, 2020 at 5:25 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 12
I can't make up my mind! My fiance and I will be staying at Sandals South Coast for our honeymoon (which also falls on both of our birthdays). We can't decide what type of room to get. He wants one of the new swim up rooms as he has never experienced one before. I prefer a balcony as I would like to sit outside and see the ocean from up high. Im not sure of the ocean view from the ground floor. Both rooms have a tub on the porch with a curtain that can be closed for privacy. The swim up room would cost an additional $740 for the week.

So here are our options. 1. Stay in the balcony room. 2. Upgrade to the swim up. 3. Do a combination of both. 3 nights in the balcony room for my birthday and 4 nights in the swim up for his ($473 more).
I have added a pic of what it might look like below. These new rooms will not be completed until December 2020. All rooms mentioned are butler rooms. Swim up or balcony 1

Why not split it and get the best of both worlds? That way you both can get the room you want.

I love both types of rooms!

I agree with Yasmine, I would split it and do both! It'd be a minor pain to have to switch rooms, but at least you'd be able to experience both!

Honestly, I would hesitate for the swim-up room for two reasons 1 - I feel like it wouldn't be as private and 2 - you're right next to the pool, so it's liable to be noisy. Just my opinion, of course

We would definitely split it! We did that a couple weeks ago because we were torn between two amazing resorts! Lol

Thanks everyone! We're going to do 3 nights in the balcony room and 4 in the swim up. This way we both get to wake up on our birthdays in the room of our choice.

If splitting is definitely an option, I'd do that for sure. Looks like fun!
