Christine, on February 26, 2013 at 9:29 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8

Hi Everyone. I want to create my Table number signs on Vista Print to add to my groupon. Have any of you done this? I was going to use the posters but they are way to big. What did you guys use? Thanks in advance Smiley smile

Rack cards would probably be more in line with the size you would need for table numbers. Or you could try the oversize postcards.

Ours will either be 5x7, or 6x8. anything else is going to be too big and make the centerpieces look out of place...

    Posters are PERFECT!!!!

you use the ruler on the side to size your rectangle to the size of your frames.

Then use the copy and paste symbols to the left of the text box, it looks like a clip board. That way after you have the size, you don't need to try to space it out again.

Let me know if you want any other help brainstorming on what to use the Free VP items for. I helped someone last night go from $142.54 (and that is WITH the $70 groupon credit in the cart) down to $43.83. It is all finding the right sale to double up with and using the free items to your advantage.

Hey the first time I can really contribute on this one.

A bit of a VP addict (friends call me expert)

This came to me yesterday... USE A small free photo flipbook from Vistaprint.

That will give you table 1-10.

All you have to do when they arrive is trim the spiral binding off.

    http://www.vistaprint.com/free-flip-books.aspx

Set the page style to full bleed if you don't want to use the VP background.

Style your graphics to include an extra 3/8" on the left hand side for trimming out of the booklet.

You could also use the VP background instead of a full bleed. However, your graphic won't be completely centered unless you trim both sides of the card. Likely this won't matter if you're using a stand in the vertical position (rotate your number counter clockwise for this allowing stand maximum grip edge)

Hope this helps someone. I know for a small wedding when you only need a few table numbers, I'd rather save the 100 postcards for something else.

I love that we are finding more new ways to use VP's free items. The flip book would have been PERFECT for my wedding, I had 10 tables.

P.S. - Can we make a listing of VP experts still on the boards? I know we lost a few in the Great Multiple Profiles War, but I've seen a number of ladies come out with great VP tips!

I've also been doing little flip books to announce our engagement. The plan is to visit my family and give them the gift of the book. The last three pages are photos of our proposal with him down on one knee.

The other thought I had, and have started is doing flip books of different part of our lives to share at the wedding. That way people who don't know where the bride or groom came from can see little snippets of their lives growing up. Thought maybe leave them out at "cocktail hour" or put a couple on each table for people to share. Or again, trim down and make a collage.

Last week was killer for Canadians with free shipping on $5 spend. Even if we only get 4 freebies instead of US 10, it was still a benefit for anyone wanting BLACK shirts. My company will sell the shirts at a profit and I got the other 3 freebies. Smiley smile
