Tablecloth color help

Mackenzie, on September 7, 2017 at 9:24 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10

Hi guys! I recently came up with a dilemma that somehow previously slipped my mind. I knew I would need to get tablecloths, but I never even thought as to what color I might want. I would love some suggestions and pictures would be a great help, too, as I am a visual person. It's a small wedding, so I only need 8 tableclothes and a sweetheart tablecloth as well. Our colors are burgundy and charcoal grey. The chargers we have are a champagne/gold color and our centerpieces are a mixture of champagne/gold painted branches in vases with fairy lights and larger champagne/gold painted branches with flowers on them. Probably hard to visualize, but the colors should help at least. Our plates are white, the utensils sleaves are metallic gold. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I wpuld like runners, too. I'm just not sure what would look best

From the sound of it, Burgundy tablecloths would be lovely with all the gold and champagne colors you have. If not that, I'd go with ivory.

I think burgundy tablecloths will complement your champagne/gold centerpieces, chargers, and all other accessories nicely. If you want to do something different for your sweetheart table you can flip the color scheme and use a champagne, gold, or ivory color and burgundy accessories or just match the rest of the tables.

For my sweetheart table I flipped the color scheme and used a lighter color (white and silver) for the table instead of the main color (royal blue).

Your colors are similar to mine and my tableclothes are champagne and I did a burgundy runner instead and burgundy napkins and our sweetheart table has a burgundy table cloth

Here are some images that might help you visualize this look, one has gold chargers on a burgundy tablecloth with ivory napkins, and one might be a good sweetheart table - gold sequin tablecloth with burgundy runners.

Thank you guys for your responses! Now I just gotta find a cheap, well rated place to get them! I'm open to suggestions on that, too lol. @WWJo I saw the picture with the gold tablecloth and I love how it looks, but I think you're right, it might be best for the sweetheart table. I like the reversed idea you all suggested. So I think burgundy tableclothes and champagne runners it is! I'll run it by the FH and see what he thinks and hopefully its one less thing to do

I think burgundy table cloths would really make the white and gold pop

I second the recommendation for champagne. Anything you add to the table will really stand out and you can incorporate burgundy in other ways. A darker tablecloth might drown out your centerpieces depending what they are.

Talked it over with FH and we both agreed that burgundy might be too dark for the tablecloths so we are gonna do champagne tablecloths with burgundy runners and then do the sweetheart table with a burgundy tablecloth. Thank you all for the help!
