Tablecloth when push tables together?

KelseyyyK, on January 17, 2017 at 12:26 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7

Okay this may be a really stupid question, I am thinking about pushing 2 or 3 of my 6ft rectangular tables together to have a few long family style tables. Do you just put a normal tablecloth on each of them then push together? Or am I supposed to find a super long table cloth that goes over all of them? Thank you!

I'd just put 1 on each table and then push them together. I think it would look better that way anyway

Hmm I've been trying to investigate in pictures but it's hard to tell!! I think this is a decision that will be made by what length you can find at what price Smiley smile

The pictures I'm seeing on pinterest look like the have 1 long continuous tablecloth, but it could also be the camera angle and good decorating Smiley smile You could also tie the tables together by getting a long runner over all of the tables, or having a garland or row of centerpieces down the whole table!

Either would work, so do whatever is cheapest.

However----you probably need to iron them pretty well, or you might get some weird ridges. For that purpose I'd do the smaller ones to make them easier to manage.

I have always seen them covered separately then pushed together. The table gaps/lines/seams were covered with a runner. The centerpieces were centered on the runners.

When I worked in a fine dining restaurant each table would have their own linen and we would push them together when we had large parties or had the buffet going on. The look of it wasn't too ideal but it is going to be your best bet. Finding a large linen to fit that long/large of a table is going to be pricey!
