Quite curious, what are some thing you refuse to have at your wedding decoration wise? Cheap doesn't necessarily mean tacky. Backdrops?

Lanterns?

Balloons?

The paper bells?

I want to do some additional decorations besides just signs but don't want anything to look tacky or thrown together. Just trying to get ideas! Pictures are a bonus! Thanks!

We’re using rocks we’ve picked over the last few summers to create our centerpieces.

    I have two options:
    1. Rent silk garlands from florist, who will set them up
    2. Make my own garlands from the vast amounts of greenery I have (lots of winter trees on my property)
I’ll probably go with #2 because I love the smell of fresh pine and cedar trees, I think it’ll look better, and my mother (surprisingly) wants to help out and do this even though it’s like a giant task to go out into our woods, cut the fronds, then fixture them together.

No fake flowers for me. Is not that is tacky is just isn’t my style at all. Nothing plastic or disposable either, all glass and real. I personally don’t like hanging decorations that looks like prom or birthday decor instead of a wedding. Ex. Paper bells.
As far as using the most possible I reused ALL my ceremony decor. My florist team move the arc and put some candles and wood to transform into a photo booth area. All the flowers from the aisle were transform into vases to use in bathrooms, bar and buffet table. I think this really helps minimize cost and really take advantage of all the decor. See how we reuse the arch.

These are really beautiful!! I want to do something similar, but I’m not sure what to fill them with. I’m thinking some sort of greenery but I’m not sure if it’ll be too much with the greens garland we’ll have on the tables already

Yes I would like it! i'm trying to figure out an aisle to walk down, and I could use that at the front. I did get a sparkly aisle runner that should be here today, but i've been trying to figure out what to do about the area where we stand for the ceremony

Ok I got two actually! One is a castle backdrop for my cake table but they have different photos and the other is hanging flowers I’m using at the ceremony. $15 and $10!

I was insistent we not have those paper bells, steamers, or balloons. We are using lanterns for the ceremony and as part of the centerpieces, and will have fake wisteria as a backdrop for some pictures.

I’ve done some greenery arrangement before (specifically with tree boughs). They’re relatively easy to weave together and because they’re branches they’re sturdy. But I’ll also be using wire!

My husband refused to have any mason jars, which I was fine with because it didn't really fit with our theme. It was just so hard to find good examples of centerpieces that didn't use mason jars! We ended up using lanterns that our venue had instead.

Fake flowers. I don't like the look or the texture. Plastic tablecloths, definitely those paper bells. Our decor will be fairly minimalistic to cut down on cost, but also because I prefer that look.

I'm not sure yet what filler objects we will need for our space. If we need any at all we will use candles and greenery. Our venue itself is beautiful and I cannot think of a space we will need to cover, but I do know we have spaces to decorate.
