Hello! I’m getting married on January 15, 2022 at 1868 farmhouse in Boone, IA! I am looking into food options and am interested in hiring a taco truck. Due to it being winter time, they would be catering inside and not from the truck. I was wondering if anyone else has done this or has recommendations! Interested to learn about prices and options, also vendor must be insured!

I hear that food trucks are pretty slow, so I think it’s definitely going to be a lot better that they are going to be catering from outside of the truck and inside of your venue! This will definitely help her to get out quickly as they have more room to work!

If they would be catering inside and not from the truck, it should work pretty much the same as any other catering (which usually requires insurance).
As for pricing, this is HIGHLY location dependent and the only way for you to get an accurate picture is to call around to taco trucks in your area that do catering for the amount of guests you are considering. Get 2 or 3 quotes (making sure the quotes include enough detail so you know you are comparing apples to apples) and then decide if it works with your budget.

Food trucks are only designed to serve 1 person at a time. So if they can get access to a kitchen or other outdoor grill to cook for and serve upwards of 50+ at a time, that will be great. Plus who doesn't love tacos and sides?
Price depends on location. What do they normally charge? They need to provide their own insurance which is a requirement to be allowed by the local health department when they become licensed to sell food as a vendor anywhere.
