Thank you ladies! My fiance and I are paying for our wedding so we're kinda on a tight budget. I found a few really nice dresses that I really like; I just can't justify to myself to spend that kind of money before I look at other options. He's been to Europe several times and I want to go really bad so that is going to be our honeymoon. The better I stick to the wedding budget the more we'll have for our honeymoon!!

Keep in mind that David's often has sales as well. I got my dress half off (under $500) and many times they have $99 sales.

I honestly don't know of any consignment shops myself.

You can also check ebay, oncewed.com and recycledbride.com for used bridal gowns.

Also, some bridesmaids dresses can be ordered in white or ivory.

I just went online again to look at the first dress I fell in love with yesterday.. it's magically on sale for 40% off right now!! It goes off sale Sept 1 which is the day after I get paid again .. I'm thinking that is a pretty big sign it's the right one!!!

By the way Mrs. Clark (I love the Mrs. Awesomepants addition!!), it is a David's Bridal dress. It's style 9L9479 :-)

I'm a big believer in signs, Amy. We got a big sign today that FH's new car was definitely for him!

I will most definitely be able to fit it in my budget now! I was trying to keep it under $500; with the sale it is $428 with tax included! I don't know what made me look at online even though I had decided I couldn't afford it. I guess I was pining over it lol

I don't have much of a shape; I'm pretty much rectangular so I was worried about finding something flattering on me. Once I put this dress on I felt really comfortable and beautiful. When I walked out with it on everyone around started raving about how good it looked. One mother even made her daughter try it on! So incredibly happy!!

I'm not doing it this year, between finishing my MBA and finishing planning my wedding (in December), it just wasn't in the cards. But I will be by more than once as an obnoxious guest!

I know what you mean as far as being busy. My wedding isn't until June 14th but between school, and all the special events at the park, I only realistically have about 2 months to plan everything. Plus, Clyde lives in Austin right now so it makes things even more difficult.

I've already got my venue, Clinton is doing my photos and Reko is my DJ. HOS really helped me out this time!
