Tan lines

Allyson, on December 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 19
Hey guys! My wedding is in 62 days and quickly approaching. I’m worried about weird tan lines that I have .. I’ve had them since May and they won’t go away! I’ve been using Jergen’s Natural Glow, and it has helped a little, but not enough. What do you guys recommend to get rid of them by the end of February? Thank you!!

Could you get a really subtle spray tan on your whole body to even everything out?

I second the spray tan option! That should help even everything out.

I’m just nervous because I’ve never done that before! I just keep thinking about when she turned bright orange in Bride Wars 😂

Lol I totally understand. I would just search for tanning salons with really good reviews and get one ASAP. Go lighter than you think you need to and if it turns out a little orange, you'll have time for it to fade before the wedding!

I recommend exfoliating if you aren't! An exfoliating brush and/or body scrub.

How do you feel about a tanning booth? you could even go for like between 5 - 8 minutes. i know the whole stigma is bad but its better than being orange in my opinion. lol i used to regularly use a tanning booth and the ONE time i got a spray tan it was supposedly the best one at the time that wouldn't make you orange and i was definitely orange.

How does that work? Do I have to put little goggles on that will leave white circles around my eyes? Lol I’m super clueless about it all. 😂

Do it now though. If you do. You'll have time to fade.

Well they do suggest you use them, i just closed my eyes. normally i took a nap Smiley xd if you go to a local tanning place just ask them any questions you have. you'll most likely be wearing make up on your wedding day, yes? so if you're more comfortable with the goggles you can use them. also you can request the lower level beds for less exposure. (i haven't been to a tanning salon in years but i'm sure they aren't much different now lol)

What is dry brushing the skin? Sorry if that is a dumb question!

    No question is dumb lol.

Running a dry, soft-bristle brush over your bare skin. Estheticians and Dermatologists recommend brushing your limbs and torso, always motioning toward your heart. Do this for a few minutes every day, they say, and you’ll increase blood flow and circulation, which will help your body and lymphatic system clear away toxins. Dry brushing is also thought to reduce cellulite and exfoliate, leaving your skin softer, more toned and better hydrated. It's best to do this before using a scrub to exfoliate. I own a wellness spa and this is something I recommend to clients often.
