Tanning!

Samantha, on August 20, 2019 at 7:35 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 15
Hey all! I’m interested in a little glow for my big day! I don’t wait to use a tanning bed die cancer risks. What did you guys use for products or spray tans and were you happy with it?

I don't have an advice, but props for staying away from the tanning bed!

I'm interested in this as well. I'm very fair skinned, but I'd like a little more life in me for my pictures. I haven't done any research or played with products yet, but I plan on watching some beauty vlogs from Casey Holmes on YouTube. She self tans regularly and uses a lot of products that are safe on sensitive skin, so I'll likely be trying out products she recommends. Check her out. Smiley smile

I have a few months until my wedding, so plenty of time to try this out :-) any issues with orange tints or streaking on your hands?

It has actually been fantastic! No streaking, and it’s the perfect color for fair skin to be gold and bronzed and not orange!

I used their tanning mitt and just used excess from the mitt and kind of swiped it on my hands if that makes sense. Just to make sure they didn’t come out looking crazy!

I recently posted this on another threat but f you get a professional spray tan make sure they use the product SunFX. It is an all natural- organic chemical free spray tan. There is nothing in the product that will cause any kind of allergic reaction or break outs. The company is an Australia based company and I used their product for 10 years. I owned a spray tanning business for the past 10 years and never once did I have anyone complain of an orange tint, streak, or have any issues of any kind. I highly recommend it! After you tan, make sure you keep your skin moisturized to help with the longevity of the tan!

Uhh I use St tropez as well and let me tell you no matter how much practice you have putting it on with a mitt you will have streaks and marks around your hands especially. It's no simplistic task and I used it almost every winter with the lightest touch on my hands. You wouldn't want that for your wedding day. I recommend a spray tan if you are wanting something natural and fool proof. Also, why not tan outside? Idk where you live but here on the east coast you could tan pretty much through September.

Thanks for the St tropez advice! I live on the east coast but my wedding is in December. I am fair skinned and am prone to burning as opposed to tanning. I also worry about the skin cancer risk. I may try a spray tan though!

Thanks for the advice, I think I’m going to try a spray tan in advance to see how it goes!

Yes fair skin is always an issue for trying to tan outside! Since you have some time I recommend finding a salon that sprays for you rather than a machine. You can test it out now to see if you like it!

I second the St Tropez option! It has an olive undertone so it's pretty much impossible to look orange with that tanner. I love it!
