Is anyone else excited to show the tats with wedding dress. I just got my second tattoo a reminder for when I get over stressed. My first is for my mom. I am excited to show of my tats with my dress.
I picked a dress that's back will frame my back tattoo beautifully. As soon as said "this is the dress", my mom said "OK you HAVE to wear your hair up then so it doesn't hide your tattoo, with a back like that on your dress it'd be a shame to still have it not showing"
I just started my full sleeve this year. I just want my sleeve finished before the wedding lol. It will be on full display for the wedding even though some of my in laws don’t like it smh lol. I spent good money on it so it will be displayed
I have two and I’m actually covering up one. It doesn’t look good with my dress because it’s a saying and it gets cut off. The one on the back of my neck is covered by my hair.
I'm excited! I can't wait. The ones that will show with my wedding dress will be the one on my wrist, my forearm, on my upper arm, the one on the back of my right shoulder and the top half of the one on my back.
That's awesome ! Love your tats ! I was initially going to cover mine due to a conservative overbearing mother who kept nagging about it aha but I ended up showing mine because at the end of the day they're a part of me and a part of my story.
I am actually covering mine up. I have my wedding date of my first marriage 😩 (I know!) And a lion (leo) and woman Archer (Sagittarius) which was our signs. It takes up my whole right shoulder blade and in wearing a strapless dress so to avoid his family asking questions, I'm just going to use makeup to cover
I have one tattoo on the inside of my right wrist. I'm planning to get another one to honor my Papa (not sure on placement yet; he's currently still alive but his prognosis isn't good with his dementia) I'm having him write "Relax and enjoy," and have my Nana mail it to me. It was what he said when we were visiting them last summer.
I cannot wait for my full sleeve to be on full display on our wedding day!!! My entire arm is dedicated to both my grandmothers, one who is unfortunately not with us anymore.
Lol all growing up my mom made me think she hated tattoos, but clearly that was not the case. She really just didn't want me to get anything I'd regret, and used the "if you get one I'll kill you" facade to hopefully deter me from getting one too soon without thought
Sooooo my back piece, a dragon holding a staff, is huge and I got the day after I turned 18. Hid it for three months. A few nights before going on the family vacation I asked my stepsisters to stand between me and my mom as I told her I had the tattoo so that she couldn't get at me.
Here's how that played out: "Mom, I have something I have to tell you, since you're going to find out about it while we're on vacation anyway" I said...
"YOU'RE NOT PREGNANT ARE YOU??"
"OH MY GOD MOM NO"
"Ok... so what is it?"
"Well... I got a tattoo..." "Ok.... Is it a good one at least? Let me see it"
She then proceeded to tell me at least it was a bad*ss tattoo and was more mad that my 9 year old brother knew about it all that time and kept the secret that well from her.... lol

My first tattoo was also a dragon. My mother tried to persuade me my career was over because of it. Um, it’s on my thigh, if it’s showing at work I’ve got other problems! so I got my second on my back and dreaded going hoe for Christmas because there was no way to hide it. She sees it and goes “oh, that’s pretty”. I was ready to scream.
